Steam bread based on Chinese mantou buns

Ingredients

* Starter potato hop 2 tbsp. l.
* Wheat flour, premium 1 tbsp.
* Wheat flour c / z 1 tbsp.
* Water 150 ml.
* Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. l.
* Sugar 1 tsp
* Salt 1 pinch (to taste)

Cooking method

  • Mix flour with water and starter. Knead the dough and leave it to ferment in a warm place until the volume doubles.
  • Add sugar, salt, oil to the dough. Knead it thoroughly and divide into balls.
  • Place on the greased steamer trays. Cover, so as not to wind up.
  • When the blanks come up, start cooking (either in an electric appliance or in a steamer)
  • Cook the bread, from the moment it boils, 20 minutes.
  • At the end of the process, turn off the device or fire and keep the bread under the lid for another 8-10 minutes so that it does not wrinkle.

Note

You can use bread just like that, and there is the option of using various fillings that are placed in cut bread.
Steamed bread is unusual for perception - it is naked and kind of raw. But in fact, this is a ready-made, tasty and healthy product.

In general, steamed bread can be made from absolutely any fermented (sourdough, yeast) dough, which is to your taste. It's a matter of preparation.
Personally, I like to steam the dough. Even somewhere there is a recipe according to which the cake was made in a double boiler (in the sense of the cake). Yes, and super steam cakes.
