Kettle Kitfort KT-638
An electric kettle with a thermostat Kitfort KT-638 can not only boil water, but also heat it to a temperature of 40, 70 and 90 ° C, which is very convenient when brewing various types of tea. A temperature of 40 ° C is useful for preparing baby food. The kettle is also equipped with a keep warm function. The water temperature is controlled by a thermal sensor built into the bottom of the kettle.
The body of the kettle is made of stainless steel and the base is made of a combination of plastic and stainless steel. The large neck of the kettle makes it easier to access the inside when washing it and during descaling. The handle of the kettle is plastic, does not heat up and fits comfortably in the hand. The cover open button is located on the top of the handle.
The heating element (TEN) of this kettle model is hidden and is located in the bottom part. From above it is closed with a special metal plate made of stainless steel, due to which direct contact of the heating element with water is excluded. This design prevents the formation of limescale, facilitates maintenance and reduces noise when heating water.
The stand with center contact allows the kettle to be placed on it in any position, providing 360 ° rotation. There is a cord storage compartment at the bottom, in which you can wind up excess power cord. On the stand there are buttons for turning the kettle on and off, setting operating modes and selecting temperatures. All buttons are illuminated for easy identification of which mode is currently active. When boiling, changing operating modes, as well as installing and removing the kettle from the stand, a signal will sound.
The kettle turns off automatically when it boils and when it is removed from the stand, it has overheating protection and protection against turning on without water.

There are 6 buttons on the base of the kettle to select and activate heating modes. Each button is equipped with an indicator light (a luminous rim around the button) that displays the status of the selected operating mode.
The temperature buttons 40, 70, 90 and 100 ° C allow you to select the temperature to which the water in the kettle will be heated. Selecting 100 ° C means the water will be brought to a boil.
The “Start / Stop” button is used to turn on the selected heating mode and to turn off the kettle.
In standby mode, the button turns on boiling water.
To heat the water to the set temperature, press the button with the value of the desired temperature and the “Start / Stop” button in sequence.
To turn off heating, press the Start / Stop button. All indicators on the base will turn off and the kettle will enter standby mode.
The keep warm button activates the keep warm function for 40, 70 and 90 ° C modes.
To heat the water and keep it warm, press the button with the desired temperature, then press the keep temperature button and the Start / Stop button.

• if the kettle has been removed from the base,
• one minute after the end of any mode.
Sound signals.
A single beep sounds when you press the buttons and when you remove the kettle from the stand.
Two beeps sound:
• when the selected mode is automatically turned off (when boiling, after heating to the set temperature and when the temperature maintenance mode is turned off),
• if, when heating is switched on, the water temperature reaches or exceeds the selected temperature,
• when the cradle is connected to the power supply.
Preparation for work and usePreparation for work. Place the stand on a flat, horizontal surface at least 10 cm from the wall and edge of the table. Advice
Do not pour too much water into the kettle (above the MAX mark), otherwise it may splash out of the kettle when it boils.
The process of heating the water is accompanied by some noise, which is a characteristic feature of all kettles with a disc heater. During the heating process, the noise may stop altogether. This shouldn't scare you. Do not turn off the kettle or press buttons, as the kettle continues to work. After a few seconds, the noise will reappear.
When you set a temperature of 90 ° C to heat a small amount of freshly boiled water, it may have time to boil before the kettle turns off. This is a sign that the appliance is functioning properly.
Care and storageTo prolong the life of the kettle, descale in a timely manner.Place the descaling agent in the kettle (you can use 250 ml of 9% acetic acid solution, or 3 g of citric acid dissolved in 100 ml of water), pour water up to the MAX mark and bring to a boil. Wait for the solution to cool and drain. Then rinse the kettle with running water, boil water in it and drain it.
Use a damp cloth to wipe down the body of the kettle and the bases regularly. Unplug the cradle from the power supply before servicing.
Store the kettle in a cool and dry place out of the reach of children.
Troubleshooting
When water is boiled, the kettle turns off without bringing the water to a boil.
Probably poor connection in the temperature sensor circuit. Check the contacts in the contact groups at the bottom of the kettle and in the stand.
All indicators on the stand are blinking, buttons are inactive, there is no heating.
The kettle may have overheated, or the electronics unit in the stand may be faulty.
Water drops on the stand.
Probably, the water level exceeded the maximum, as a result, when boiling, part of the water splashed out.
