Apples 1 kg
Tangerines 2 pcs
Water 1.4 l

Cooking method

  • Slow Cooker Apple Cider is a charming non-alcoholic recipe that I found on the page of the author of GYMMY some OVEN, translated, recounted, slightly changed and shared with you.
  • I took 2 tangerines and about a kilogram of a mixture of red, green and yellow apples, washed (scalded tangerines), began to cut them lengthwise into quarters, remove the seeds and put them tightly in the bowl until they covered the whole bottom in one layer.
  • The total weight of the prepared pieces is 800 g
  • Added spices:
  • 1 tsp. grains of cardamom and anise,
  • 1.5 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp ground nutmeg and
  • 2 buds of clove pepper.
  • I poured 1.4 liters of water so that the level was 2 cm below the top of the bowl.
  • I covered it and set it on MAX for 3.5 hours using a timer socket. Foil flagellum under the lid
  • After 3 hours from the start of cooking, I took a mashed potato and kneaded the already soft apples, pressing them against the sides of the bowl. And left to prepare for another half hour.
  • Strain the finished cider into a bowl through a cotton cloth, trying to squeeze the thick dry
  • The resulting drink was sweetened with brown sugar to taste
  • For serving, I took a tangerine, scalded it, cut it into quarters, put it in a cup and poured it over with hot cider.
  • I got about 1.8 liters of the drink. The cider is served hot.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, reheating before serving.
