The steamer is a serious competitor to steam irons: it allows you to iron any clothes and textiles extremely quickly. This is a thorough care of things that does not take much time.
Unlike irons, which iron fabrics and clothes placed horizontally, clothes and fabrics placed vertically are treated with a steamer. No additional accessories, such as an ironing board, are required here. In this case, clothes can be hung on a hanger, on a clothes dryer or on a rope.
A steamer is a more functional and versatile device than an iron. In addition to steaming clothes, you can steam curtains and drapes (you do not have to remove them for this), upholstery, mattresses, beds. In this case, you will not only smooth out the folds, but also refresh things, and also disinfect them, since the hot steam kills dust mites and other microorganisms well. For the best cleaning effect, you can put a nap brush on the iron.
But the steamer also allows you to iron things that are usually not ironed, for example, fluffy dresses with a complex structure, fur coats and sheepskin coats, as it processes things with a jet of hot steam. It can also be used to prepare things for the season that have a musty smell during storage - the steamer solves this problem without any washing. But not only that. Steam well removes foreign smell from clothes. For example, if you were in a smoky room and your clothes smelled of tobacco, then using a steamer you can quickly remove the smell and refresh them.

The steamer KT-928 has a heating element in the lower part of the body that brings water to a boil. Next, hot steam from the boiling water rises into the headband and exits the nozzles. Thanks to the design of the boiler body, tapering towards the top and the special structure of the headband, a dense stream of steam is created from the nozzles, which can be used to steam clothes and any fabric products.
The closeness of the steamer to the thing being processed is determined by the density of the fabric: the denser the fabric, the more intense the jet and the higher the steam temperature is required, therefore, the steamer must be brought closer and pressed more tightly.
Preparation for work and use
Step 1: Checking the fixation of the component parts of the product.
Unpack the device and straighten out the power cord.
Place the steam nozzle on the mount so that the inverted triangle symbol “▼” matches the symbol for the open lock, and then turn it approximately 80 ° clockwise so that the symbol of the inverted triangle “▼” is opposite the symbol for the closed lock, the bolt is now securely closed. If necessary, you can immediately put on the attachment.
Step 2: Fill in water and turn on.
How to fill the tank with water:
Remove the headband from the steamer and pour water into the hole in the boiler (100 ml). Reattach the headband.Do not overfill the boiler above the maximum level. For convenience, you can use a measuring cup (not included).
Advice:
• It is recommended to fill in fresh water before each use, and drain the rest after use.
• We recommend using distilled or demineralized water to prevent limescale build-up.
• It is not recommended to fill in more than 100 ml, as water may spill out when boiling in the boiler.
Using:
After filling the boiler, connect the steamer to the mains.
Press the power button, the LED indicator will light up. After about 1 minute, steam will start coming out of the steamer. The steamer is ready for use.
In order to turn off the steam supply and stop working, you must press the power button so that the status indicator goes out. Then place the steamer on a flat, stable, horizontal surface and wait until it has cooled down.
When you turn off the steam supply, it does not stop instantly, it takes a few seconds for the remaining steam to leave the boiler and the water stops boiling.
If the boiler runs out of water, the steamer will continue to work for about 5 seconds, and then, in order to protect it from overheating and breakdown, it will turn itself off. It is not recommended to leave the steamer with an empty boiler plugged in. As it cools, the steamer will turn on and off again. Unplug the steamer immediately after use.
Steaming tips and tricks:
Take the steamer in one hand and hold the bottom of the garment with the other, applying slight tension. Bring the steamer to the surface of the fabric, lightly pressing the nozzles of the headband against it, where the steam is emitted. Use a reciprocating motion (from top to bottom) to start steaming. We recommend starting with the areas with the most folds, as well as with items of clothing that are denser (collar, sleeve cuffs).
Attention! Do not turn the steamer horizontally. The maximum deviation from the vertical axis during steaming should be no more than 45 °. Increasing the angle of the steamer may cause boiling water to escape from the nozzles or the connection between the boiler and the headband, which could damage clothing and cause burns.
Attention! Do not touch the headband during or after steaming. The constant flow of hot steam can cause the headband to become very hot and cause burns. After use, allow the steamer to cool for at least 10 minutes before removing the headband.
When steaming the bottom of the garment, use a hanger to pull the fabric as much as possible. To do this, you need to fasten all the buttons (if any) on the clothes and pull the lower part of the clothes hanging on the hanger with your free hand slightly to the side, creating tension.
Using the steamer, you can iron curtains vertically without removing them from the curtain rod. It is enough to place the steam iron at a small distance from the surface of the fabric and carry out the standard steaming procedure. Please note that depending on the density of the fabric from which the curtains are sewn, steam will penetrate through the fabric in a different volume. Some steam can accumulate on the surface of windows if the curtains are too close to them.
If the surface of the fabric is heavily soiled, you can use the supplied nap brush. It will allow you not only to steam the surface, such as a sofa, but also to remove dirt (pet hair, hair, threads, etc.).
Steam on both sides to smooth heavily wrinkled fabrics.
If folds are difficult to smooth out, for example, due to the fact that the fabric has been overdried, we recommend sprinkling it with water first. Re-steaming may be required to smooth dense fabrics.
Do not use metal hangers or hangers, as they can rust from exposure to steam, and corrosive deposits can then stain things.
After steaming, the fabric may be slightly damp, so do not immediately put the item away for storage, but dry it by hanging it on a hanger or spread it out on some surface.
Take special care when steaming delicate fabrics and fabrics that could be damaged by splashing water.
Cleaning and maintaining the steamer
Wipe the body of the steamer with a damp and then dry cloth. Flush and rinse the boiler periodically. Avoid stagnant water in the boiler.
Advice:
Use demineralized or distilled water to reduce limescale build-up.
Before using bottled drinking water, find out its total mineralization (usually indicated on the label) and compare it with indicators for tap water (they can be found on the website of the water supply organization or a general search on the Internet). Typically, bottled water salinity is 100-400 mg / l. It may turn out that the water from the tap has a salinity several times lower, so that the use of bottled water will increase the formation of scale.
If the steamer is used infrequently, preferably at least once a week, replace the water in the boiler and do not let it stagnate in order to prevent deterioration and blooming, otherwise organic residues will cause precipitation in the boiler. To sterilize water from organic matter, first boil it or turn on the steamer and wait for a stable steam supply.
Care and storage
Before long-term storage, wait 30 minutes for the steamer to cool completely and drain the water. Store the steamer in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children.
Attention! Do not keep the steamer in frost!
After using the steamer, water remains in the boiler, which at low temperatures can freeze and damage the boiler or the headband of the device. In this case, this damage is not covered by the warranty.
When shipped from the factory to the store, the water is removed from the steamer. However, if you have already used a steamer (for example, you tested a steamer with water when purchasing), then you need to take this fact into account in the case when the steamer will then be transported or delivered to the place of use in the winter.
