Preparation for work and use
Before using for the first time, wash all parts of the appliance except the engine compartment. Rinse the water tank, then fill the tank with 200 ml of water and steam one cycle with an empty bowl and an empty basket.
The blender can be used in three modes: chopping, steaming, steaming followed by chopping.
When preparing a boiled chopped mixture, be guided by the principle: first steam, then chop. If you grind the ingredients first, then it will be impossible to cook them later.
To open the cover, press the cover open button and open the cover. To close the lid, press down on the pressure surface on the lid and close it.
To install the bowl, place it on the motor unit with the handle facing you, then turn the bowl clockwise until it stops to lock. If the bowl is not installed correctly, the blender will not turn on.
Disassembly and reassembly of the cover and blade unit is described in the “Blender Cleaning and Maintenance” section.
Restrictions on use
This device is NOT intended for the following purposes:
• steaming the same food for more than 30 minutes;
• steaming frozen raw foods;
• first mixing and then steaming;
• heating liquids such as soup, sauce or water;
• heating food;
• defrosting food;
• cooking rice and pasta;
• chopping hard ingredients such as ice cubes or refined sugar and viscous ingredients such as cheese.
Always check the consistency of cooked baby food.
Always check the temperature of your baby food before feeding your baby!
Security systems
For your safety, this appliance is equipped with a locking system. The device works only if its parts are correctly assembled. If the bowl is not installed correctly or the lid is open, the appliance will not turn on.
The device is also equipped with overheating protection. Overheating can occur if a sufficient break is not observed between two steam cycles. If the overheating protection activates during steaming, wait a few minutes for the appliance to cool down. After that, the device can be used again.
Steam cooking
Check that the blade unit in the bowl is installed correctly. Place the bowl on the blender. Place the basket in the bowl. The protrusion on the basket should fit into the spout of the bowl.
Place food cut into 1 cm cubes in the basket. Do not overfill the basket, otherwise excess food may clog the steam line. Do not stack food tightly; there should be free space between the pieces so that steam can circulate between them.
Fill the tank with clean drinking water. The water inlet is located on the motor unit under the cover lever. The amount of water determines the cooking time.After the water has evaporated from the tank, the cooking process will automatically stop. The approximate correspondence between the amount of water and the cooking time is shown in the table. The data are indicated based on the weight of the food 200 g. The cooking time depends on the temperature of the water and food, on the amount of food and on the voltage in the power supply network.
Do not overfill the reservoir: do not fill it with more than 230 ml of water. Remember that water from a previous brew may remain in the tank, especially if you manually interrupted the brewing process. In this case, first drain off the remaining water, and only then fill in the measured amount of water.
Close the cover. Connect the blender to the power supply.
Turn the mode selection knob clockwise to brew mode. The indicator on the handle will turn red and the device will start to warm up. After a while, the water in the tank will boil and steam will start to come out of the bowl spout.
When the water from the tank boils off, the heating will turn off. The indicator will turn blue. The food is ready. Turn off the blender: turn the mode selector to the "0" (off) position and unplug the blender from the power supply.
To interrupt the brewing process manually, turn the mode selection knob to the "0" (off) position.
Do not open the cover immediately. Wait a while for steam to escape. Then open the lid, use a spatula to pick up the handle of the basket and remove it from the bowl using a spatula. Be careful not to burn yourself with the hot steam!
Tips and Warnings
During cooking, some parts of the blender, including the lid and bowl, become very hot and may remain hot for some time. Touching them can cause burns. During cooking, steam comes out from the bowl spout and from the bowl lid seal. Keep hands away from these areas to avoid burns.
After finishing cooking, remove the basket from the bowl using the spatula supplied.
Condensation accumulates on the underside of the lid during cooking. When the lid is opened, condensate is drained from the lid into a special recess under the lid hinge and flows out from behind through a slot in the housing. This is normal and not a malfunction.
At the end of the steam cycle, let the appliance cool down for 10 minutes before starting a new cycle.
For steam cooking, never put liquid in the bowl. Boiling water is poured into a special tank.
Defrost frozen food before cooking. Shake off excess water after defrosting.
Always check the temperature of your baby food before feeding your baby!
ShreddingCheck that the blade unit in the bowl is installed correctly. Place the bowl on the blender. Place the cut food into the bowl. Do not overfill the bowl above the 400 ml maximum. If a recipe requires adding liquid, add it before cooking. With liquid, food is chopped better and faster.
Close the cover. Connect the blender to the power supply.
Turn the mode selection knob counterclockwise to chop mode. The blender works as long as you hold the handle. To turn off the blender, release the knob, it will return to the “0” (off) position.
At the end of the work, disconnect the device from the power supply. Open the lid, remove the bowl and use its contents as directed.
Tips and Warnings
We recommend chopping in a pulse-periodic mode: chop for a few seconds, then turn off the blender, chop again. Repeat grinding cycles until the products have reached the desired consistency.
If the blade unit is stuck, unplug the appliance before removing any food that might block the blade movement.
The device should not operate for more than 30 seconds without interruption. If, after 30 seconds, chopping is not complete, release the Mode Selector knob to stop and wait a few seconds before continuing. If the motor unit becomes hot, let the unit cool down for a few seconds before continuing.
Do not use a blender to grind hard or sticky ingredients.
Steaming and chopping
Steam the food first. Proceed as described in the Steaming section. If condensation forms in the bowl during cooking, remove the bowl and drain. Then pour the food from the basket into the bowl. Set the basket aside, place the bowl on the blender. Be careful when handling hot food! Use a spatula and kitchen mittens.
Add additional ingredients (milk, sugar, salt) to the bowl if necessary, close the lid. Then chop the food. Proceed as described in the Shredding section.
Each child is different, so these recipes should be considered examples only. After the name of the recipe, the age of the baby for whom this recipe is suitable is indicated in brackets.
To prepare, wash the ingredients, peel and cut into 1 cm cubes.
Always check the consistency of cooked baby food. Always check the temperature of your baby food before feeding your baby!
Cleaning and maintaining the blender
Unplug the blender and allow to cool completely before leaving or servicing. Wipe the cabinet with a dry or damp cloth. Do not use a dishwasher for washing.
Clean all parts of the blender except the main unit with soap and water. Do not use abrasive, aggressive or antibacterial cleaners and chemicals for cleaning. Do not immerse the main unit in water or wash it under the tap.
Wash the blender after every use. Remove and rinse the bottom of the lid. Wipe the water tank lid seal and steam channel seal with a damp cloth. If you have been using the chopping mode, it is recommended to disassemble and rinse the blade unit.
Flush the water tank periodically. Pour 100 g of water into it, chat and drain by turning the blender upside down.
After steam cooking, drain the remaining water from the tank.
After rinsing, dry all parts of the blender, then reassemble the blender.
Note. Some foods, such as carrots, can stain the bowl, basket and plastic parts of the cabinet. This is normal and not a malfunction. After these stains appear, the bowl and basket remain safe, they do not emit any harmful substances into the food, and you can continue using the blender.
Dismantling the blade unit
Turn the bowl over. Grasp the plastic tab on the blade inside the bowl with one hand and turn the blade retainer on the outside of the bowl counterclockwise with the other hand. Remove the retainer, take out the blades.
Remove the sealing rubber from the blade shaft.
From the outside of the bowl, turn the stopper clockwise and remove it. Pull out the metal ring together with the seal. Remove the seal from the ring.
Wash all parts with soap and water. Do not use a dishwasher.
Be careful when handling the knife: the blades are sharp! Don't get hurt!
Assemble in reverse order. Pay attention to the orientation of the seals when assembling.
The sealing elastic on the blade axis is installed with its flat part towards the blade (the "skirt" of the elastic is facing the retainer).
The metal ring in the seal is installed with the flat side of the seal toward the bowl, the convex side of the seal facing the stopper.
Install the metal ring and secure with the stopper.
Lid disassembly
Turn the bottom of the cover counterclockwise and remove it. Carefully remove the cover seal. Wash bottom and seal with water and detergent, dry and reinstall.
Descaling
To remove limescale, pour 20 ml of 9% vinegar and 40 ml of water into the water tank, wait 30 minutes, then turn the blender over and drain the contents of the tank. Pour and drain clean water into the reservoir to flush out the vinegar from the reservoir. Repeat washing 4-5 times. Do not turn on the blender with the descaling solution in the tank. After rinsing the tank, steam the cycle with an empty basket and fill the tank with 170 ml of water.
It is recommended to descale at least once a month.
Use distilled or softened water to reduce scale build-up. Mineral water, bottled water, and tap water contain substances that make limescale build up in the water tank more quickly.
Care and storage
Wash and dry the blender before storing. Drain the remaining water from the tank. Store it assembled in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children.
