Vegetable oil 50 g
Egg 2 pcs
Sour cream 100-120 g
Salt 1/4 tsp

Since I love poppy-seed baked goods, I bought a suitable coffee grinder especially for this purpose. I rub very quickly - about 20 seconds, only until fluffy and friable, without waiting for the intensive release of oil. You don't have to grind it if you prefer crunching of the grains - in this case, dry poppy seeds are added to the dough with flour and baking powder.
  • Mix pounded poppy with sugar, salt, vanilla, add vegetable oil. Grind. Add eggs one at a time, then sour cream. Grind and beat until smooth. The main part of our test is now complete.

Yesterday I tried this cake with whey (there was literally one spoonful of sour cream left, stirred it in the whey) and it turned out great, both in the form of crumb and in taste there is no difference! I took 120 g of serum, and slightly increased the poppy to 70 g, everything else was as per the recipe (I have C1 eggs, medium size). The dough turned out to be more liquid and this time the tunic lay in the tunic flush with the edges, I added 1 minute of time. The crust came out more uniform in roastiness both above and below.
So it is quite possible to use whey, and diluted sour cream, and kefir for this recipe, and in my opinion it is better to take the amount of 120 g in order to completely fill the lower form with the dough.
