Ingredients

Wheat flour 360 g
Butter 180 g
Sugar / powdered sugar 90 g
Vegetable oil 55 g
Starch 25 g
Cocoa powder 20 g
Salt 2-3 g
Vanilla / vanilla sugar (optional)
Orange zest (optional) with 0.5 orange

Cooking method

  • Mix sugar / icing sugar and salt with soft butter until sugar dissolves. Naturally, with powdered sugar, this trick will turn out faster and easier.
  • Add vanilla or vanilla sugar if desired, without fanaticism.
  • Add vegetable oil, stir until smooth.
  • Add sifted flour (minus 1 tbsp. Spoon) and starch, knead quickly, but thoroughly.
  • Divide the resulting dough into 2 equal parts. In one add the deferred 1 tbsp. a spoonful of flour and zest from half an orange (optional), and in the second part - cocoa powder, and quickly knead separately each part of the dough until smooth.
  • Roll out each part of the dough into an A4 rectangle, put the rolled out layers one on top of the other and roll up along the long side with a roll.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut the resulting roll into a circleand 1 cm thick.
  • Put the circles on a baking sheet at intervals, since the dough slightly increases in volume during baking, and flatten slightly so that the layers merge more organically in ecstasy.
  • Bake preheated to 160-180aboutFrom the oven for 10-15 minutes until light golden brown.

Note

This dough, although it is almost a classic shortbread dough, in the refrigerator before cutting is not something that is not necessary at all, it is simply not necessary, you can bake right away. But you can just prepare the dough and send it to the refrigerator or even to the freezer for up to hour "X". After defrosting, the dough is no worse than before, but it is prepared so easily and quickly that there is hardly any point in freezing.
The amount of dough indicated in the recipe is based on 1 standard oven tray.
Since the dough is quite fatty, you don't need to grease the baking sheet before baking.
The biscuits are crumbly, unpleasant.
For those with a sweet tooth, you can put 20-25 g more sugar in the dough, and sprinkle the finished cookies with powdered sugar, hiding all the beauty of the spiral pattern under it, something like this or even more generously:
