They brought it! The first time we got a wonderful bread, but - there is no crust indicator! More precisely, there is a button, but nothing is shown on the display. Is this a marriage? When you press the crust selection button, the button beeps.
Or when baking 500 grams, this indicator should not be shown?

I understand that I am new to your site!
But I have a problem with my stove, the instruction is given only with
4 recipes and those translation leaves much to be desired!
Tell me the recipes PLEASE !!!!
I messed up a lot of food at home, but nothing came of it.
Niashka
Along with the instructions, there should have been a disk ... .. there are many recipes, if you don't have one, I can throw it on soap ... ....
Well, here, just read carefully, a lot of all the necessary information ... ... especially for beginners ...

It's not always the recipe alone that is a problem. You can't leave all the products in the bread maker and get good bread right there.

Read the information especially for you (regardless of the brand of bread machine) and everything will work out.

THANKS I will read ...
And about the disk ... yes there is a current there recipes are written for 250, not 256 models.

Each brand of bread machine has its own recipes, but this does not mean that bread can be baked only according to them. Take any bread recipe from our forum (and not only) and feel free to bake bread.
Just first prepare for this process by reading the materials to which I drew your attention.
These are the basics of baking, without them good bread will not work for any recipe.

I have KENWOOD 256. I did French for the first time. Baked well, side crusts are good, only the top is opal. The instructions say try less water. Is it so? Another question: I don't understand how the stages of work are reflected on the display. Maybe you need to turn on something?
Qween
lulu , the numbers on the display show how much time remains until the end of the program. And the arrow on the display on the right, moving down, shows which stage of the program is being performed. Symbols indicating this are drawn on the case, near the display.

1 heating (only in whole grain / rye)
2 batch
3 rise
4 pastries
5 keeping the bread warm.

The recipe book contains a complete printout of the duration of the steps for each mode.

The arrow on the top of the display shows the size of the loaf you have selected. And the arrow at the bottom is the color of the crust.

There is a lot of water in the recipes from the instructions, it's true.
lulu
Thank you, today I'm doing it for the 2nd time, I noticed the arrow.

Help with advice. Recently, Darnitsa bread according to a tried and tested recipe has stopped rising and baked enough. What's the matter: is the machine to blame, or maybe try to change the flour?

sazalexter
lulu The test scheme is usual, we change the flour (manufacturer), yeast (manufacturer), we check the voltage in the network - it should be 220 +/- 10% volts

Thank you so much. By the method of elimination, I calculated the "malefactor" - yeast!

I have such a problem. The stove bakes well. But there is one small caveat. The top of the bread is always light. if the sides are well fried, then the crown is always white.
who has had or is having such problems and how to fix them?

I bake it for the third time. The result is a hard lump that is pale on top and tastes nasty. Recipe from a book to my kenwood.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First time: Egg 1, water 245 ml, flour 350g, salt 1 tsp, sugar 2 tsp, vegetable oil 1 cl, yeast 1 tsp;
The second time: milk 130 ml, egg 1, draining butter 80g, flour 350g, salt 1 tsp, sugar 30g, yeast 1.5 tsp;
The third time: yeast 1.5 tsp, flour 500g, salt 1.5 tsp, sugar 2 cl, sunflower oil 2 cl, milk 350 ml and (1 egg on its own).
The program is basic everywhere, the crust is dark.
tat-63
try replacing yeast
enotik
The yeast was different: the SAF moment (good reviews about them) and the Auchan yeast product. And the top of the loaf is quite pale yellow (I think that it no longer depends on yeast)
Aunt Besya
It seems to me that you have a lot of liquid in all your recipes:
for 500 flour approximately (depending on the type of flour) 240-280 ml, and you have
350 -245, plus another egg, it's also liquid!
Domovenok
was the bun formed during kneading?

and more .. what is the height of the lump? rose a little?
enotik
The gingerbread man did not work either. The mass lay shapeless, pieces of dough stick to the edges of the container all the time. The result was a shapeless loaf, and pieces of dough were sadly falling on it from the walls.
I look at this miracle and grieve with the whole family.

It is best to start mastering baking with the simplest wheat bread: flour, yeast, water, salt, sugar, butter.

I have a Panasonic 255 stove and there are many inaccuracies in the recipe book, I would recommend you to take any verified recipe from the forum and try as advised Rina72 plain white bread. On the forum all recipes have been tested repeatedly !!! If it doesn't work out, we will think further !!
crossby
enotik I also have Kenwood, the top of the loaf will never be fried unless you grease it before baking, this is from my personal experience
enotik
The bread turned out! I took into account all the tips, printed out everything about the bun, changed the flour. Nice, tasty, the whole family liked it! HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED ME AND THE SITE ORGANIZERS!

Good day.
I ask experienced bakers for help!

I got this model of a bread machine. I decided to make the first bread from the recipe book: "White bread with the addition of eggs." Weight 500 gr.

I did everything according to the recipe and fell asleep in the right sequence:

- 1 egg and water with a total volume of 245 ml;
- 350 gr. flour;
- 1 tsp salt;
- 2 tsp Sahara;
- 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil;
- 1 tsp dry yeast (fresh).

Launched the first program. Indicated weight, average crust color.

As a result, I got:
1) The bread rose unevenly, on one side there was not even an adhesion to the walls of the bowl;
2) The top crust of the bread is pale, almost white. And, behold, the walls of the bread are normally browned;
3) The crumb turned out to be damp inside.
4) The bread was baked in 58 minutes Although the book says that this program takes about 3 hours.

Please tell me how to prevent these shortcomings next time.
Thanks in advance for the answers

Good day.

The baking program for about 3 hours implies the entire cycle, from kneading to baking, and baking the bread itself, lasts about an hour, depending on the weight of the dough, and this time is quite enough for baking.

Your recipe was taken correctly, provided that the products were measured correctly, too, without confusing grams with milliliters (these are different values).

The crumb may be wet if the bread was cut hot, you need to do this after the bread has cooled completely, then the crumb will be wet-dry, normal.

This happens if the product is small, and the bucket is large, there is a lot of free space, and the dough rolls freely in all corners, as a result, where it lies on the proofer, the bread will be like that.
Check in the recommendations in the x / oven, what is the minimum amount of flour and dough that the x / oven can take optimally.

I understand that I was very late with the answer for Hunter_A, but I still think that when you first started it, you accidentally pressed the button for fast baking of bread - this program lasts 58 minutes and requires a little more yeast, less salt and warm water.
I myself first pressed it a couple of times, thinking that it was a button for selecting programs, but since I already had experience with Mule, seeing the wrong numbers on the scoreboard, I realized that I was doing something wrong and corrected everything ...

I am mastering HP KENWOOD BM-256. I really like the pastries on program 1-Basic option for white and dark bread and 2-French bread. But Sweet bread Brioche and Keks are still dense and moist. But I will never give up my Kenya. Not all programs have been tested yet. Girls and boys, I think that thanks to your advice, I will succeed. Thanks for the ready-made recipes and recommendations!
The other day I baked bread from white flour with the addition of bran ... well, it turned out incomparable Here I boast

Good evening everyone! We bought KENWOOD BM-256 HP yesterday, baked bread in it according to the main recipe, everything is fine. Today I kneaded the dough on dumplings, the recipe for 350 g of flour is too small for my family, I decided the second portion right away ... but for some reason the HP does not respond to any button presses. Tell me, pliz, what's the matter ???
1velary1
Sorry, the problem was solved elementary! Pressed the start button for 4 seconds

Good day. Quite recently, I became the owner of the KENWOOD 256 bread maker. And somehow I just can't make friends with her. It seems that I reread everything, but all the same, the baking in it does not work out in any way! For some reason, the middle is damp, although the crust is good. Jem tried to cook - it also felt like she was undercooked.
This is the first question why this is happening. I do everything according to recipes.
And the second question - how can you disable / reset the selected mode? We are all human and we can be wrong. Should there be a reset button? Or is it still not there in principle?
Today I decided to try to bake bread for the third time. I hope it works.

Please post a proven Easter cake recipe on Kenwood 256 !!! I have never baked, on which program should I bake?
