Ingredients

A hen 1.3-1.5kg
For brine brine
Water 2 l
Salt 100g at the rate of 50g salt per 1 liter of water

For baking marinade
Hot chili sauce 1-2 tbsp. l.
Chinese sauce, or sweet and sour 1-2 tbsp. l.
Grain mustard 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • I'm driving a new oven. For the first time I decided to cook a chicken on a spit.
  • Cooking salt brine, from water of salt and pepper (I sometimes add a spoonful of lemon juice as well)
  • We immerse the chicken there, and leave it for a day or at least 8-12 hours.
  • We take the chicken out of the brine, dry it and coat it with marinade and try to put the chicken on a spit, it was difficult for me, I was all guided by the marinade, and the table and everything around.
  • We tie the legs or push the leg into the leg, making an incision in the skin .... I am a crow, I broke the skin, so I tied the legs with ordinary threads. The wings, too, need to be tightly attached to the breast, or, as I was later advised to bend them on the back (I really, when I bake a chicken in a slow-cooker or in a tandoor, I just fasten them with toothpicks, but it was not a tandoor, the chicken tried to spin on it) ...
  • In general, with grief, I fixed the chicken in half on a spit and began to cook.
  • I am very afraid if the chicken meat is not baked near the bone, so I cook the file quickly, but I make a whole chicken or spare parts with bones longer.
  • My chicken weighed more than 1.5 kg, so I decided to cook for 1.5-2 hours.
  • I cooked on a spit for the first time, it was an experiment, I tried to turn on the top grill without a spit and the breast began to burn, so the chicken was cooked on a spit for two hours at a temperature of 230-250 degrees. Next time I will cook gherkins and, of course, less time.

Today it has become one of the favorite types of cookery, and not only because of the excellent taste of the dishes. Rum steaks, beefsteaks, schnitzels and cutlets are best suited for grilling. Lubricate the grate and skewer with vegetable oil, which does not burn as quickly as other types of fats. If the meat gives in when you press on it with a spoon, inside it is still raw and pink, if it does not give in, it means that it has already been fried. You can also cook meat wrapped in aluminum foil (like fish), toasts and croutons on the wire rack, which will make the table fun and festive. Skewers are very popular, on which a wide variety of spices are fried along with meat.

Heats up and so normally, but cools down sooo quickly. Impressions are good, nothing super duper this kind of, ordinary oven with a small volume. Bakes evenly and not for long. Yesterday I baked bread from an ordinary dough of the type without kneading, excellent result, there is no photo, since I went to the dacha to my mother-in-law, my husband changed the floor there in the bathhouse, so the nieces choked this bread, and it was quite large in half a second with jam. I am happy with the size, the fact that it is light and I can very easily drag it from place to place. You can even use it in the kitchen, even on the loggia.
