Ingredients

water 5 l.
lemons 7 pcs.
sugar 500-700 grams
mint 5 leaves
dye green (optional)

Cooking method

  • I wash the lemons very carefully, because we will use them together with the skin. Then we cut off the zest. I do this with a potato knife. And we count from the white skin, which is under the zest - it gives bitterness.
  • Then put the zest and lemon wedges in a blender, add a little sugar to make it easier for them to grind, and add mint leaves, if any. Everything does not fit into the blender at once, so we do it in portions.
  • Grind everything into gruel.
  • Fill our ground lemons with water, add sugar to taste (just remember that sugar dissolves in cold water for a long time, so don't overdo it). Do not pour hot water under any circumstances, otherwise you will get a bitter drink. Now we put our pot of lemonade in the refrigerator overnight. Again, do not leave the drink infused at room temperature, it will taste bitter.
  • In the morning we take out the pan from the refrigerator. The lemons will sink to the bottom.
  • Now the whole thing must be filtered. It is possible through cheesecloth, it is possible, like me, through a sieve, as you like.
  • Well, that's all, our drink is ready. Cool down and vitaminize your health, please your family, friends and yourself with a fabulous drink. Cook only once, at least for a trial, and you cannot refuse it.
