Melon balls in wine syrup

Melon balls in wine syrup

Ingredients

melon 1 PC
sweet or semi-sweet wine 250 ml
berry syrup (I have apricot) 150 ml
lime juice and zest 2 pcs
lemon balm or mint bundle

Cooking method

  • The drink is quite suitable for friendly parties, a romantic meeting and just for an evening getaway. You can use any berry syrup - this is a great combination with grape wine, I had a freshly prepared apricot syrup. Our low-alcohol drink will also be very aromatic.
  • We remove the seeds from the melon cut in half and cut out balls from the pulp with a special knife (spoon - noisette).
  • Then rub the lime zest and squeeze out the juice, chop lemon balm or mint. Melon balls in wine syrup
  • Now you need to mix the wine, berry syrup (I used apricot), chopped lemon balm (mint). Melon balls in wine syrup
  • It remains to arrange the melon balls in glasses, bowls, pour a wine drink, add ice or put in the refrigerator for an hour. Melon balls in wine syrup
  • Serve, garnished with mint, berries and enjoy.

  • A fragrant, refreshing and simply pleasing cocktail!

The dish is designed for

10-12 servings

Time for preparing:

30-40 minutes

Note

The cocktail is more likely to be considered low alcohol. I found his recipe in the magazine "Culinary Workshop" 2012.

Such a drink can be prepared together with unexpected guests - it is prepared very quickly. Of course, it would be nice to have ice cubes in stock.

Enjoy your stay!

Marin, a very successful recipe for Throwing in the bookmarks, I will definitely try to cook it on occasion. Just didn’t understand what syrup you used? Commercial or canned apricot syrup?
Gala
Olya, it seems to me, is a syrup from canned apricots.
What is store-bought syrup?
Olya_
I meant ready-made in stores sold with different smells now, for every taste))))
Gala
Aaaaa! I didn't understand right away

Marinka, enticement! Such beauty. I will soon start drinking alcohol with you! Serve so beautifully! The cocktail whispers: "Drink and pour again!"

Girls, Olya, Galya, Angela! Glad to be at the party!
I read and cannot understand what kind of apricots we are talking about - I have melon balls. I only used apricot syrup. Already sold, apparently, Turkish or someone else's (you will not know the truth).
The husband has brought fresh melon. The taste is not my favorite - I adore the "kolkhoz woman" variety (such a small round and very fragrant, in a word, from our native open spaces). Therefore, I decided to feast on this one and let it go for desserts.

Angela, the cocktail is more likely called "In One Eye!" Only the aroma of the wine remains. But, actually delicious. Yesterday I kept myself in control for a long time - I can't drink cold. She held on, held on, but then ...
I highly recommend it - the melon opened up so much here, with apricot syrup (I did it for ice cream and it was enough here!)

Olya, you can use any syrup - berry (a mixture of different) or any fruit. It seemed to me that such a combination would be "consonant", especially since I already had a ready-made apricot syrup. And I was not mistaken - the combination of Wine, of course, also plays a big role.

Very nice and delicious! And this is for everyone - both for adults (more) and for children (it is possible without alcohol). Thank you! Wonderful recipe!

I also thought that I could cook a little ice cream or whipped cream for the children without alcohol and a little bit of whipped cream on top ... I'll try it myself!
Thank you, Irisha!
