Hungarian goulash soup (for Zigmund & Shtain MC-DS42IH)

Ingredients

Beef, pulp 500 gr.
Onion 1 head
Ground paprika (not spicy) 2 tbsp. l.
Potatoes 800 gr.
Carrot 1 PC.
Bell pepper 1 PC.
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. l.
Tomatoes 3 pcs. (or 1 tablespoon tomato paste)
Salt taste
Ground black pepper taste
Bay leaf 3 pcs.
Garlic 1 clove

Cooking method

  • 1) Pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl, put onion, cut into small cubes and cook until transparent in the "Fry" mode for 5 minutes.
  • 2) Without turning off the mode, add paprika to the onion and cook for another 30 seconds, stirring.
  • 3) Add the diced meat (2x2 cm) to the onion, stir and cook for another 5 minutes. Don't forget to stir! Disable the mode.
  • 4) Turn on the "Extinguishing" mode for 2 hours. The meat should be stewed in its own juice. The liquid should only cover the meat. Top up with water if necessary.
  • 5) When the meat is ready, salt and pepper it. Add 1 liter of water and turn on the Soup mode for 40 minutes.
  • 6) After 10 minutes, place the sliced ​​potatoes and carrots in slices into the soup.
  • 7) After 20 minutes, add diced peppers, diced tomatoes (or tomato paste), bay leaf, and finely chopped garlic into the soup.
  • At the end of the cooking time, remove the bay leaf from the soup and pour the hot soup into bowls!

Note

If you want to, you can add dumplings to this soup, but in my family this number did not work ...
