Chicken pilaf with barley (for Zigmund & Shtain MC-DS42IH)

Ingredients

Chicken thighs 800 gr.
Carrot 3 pcs.
Onion 1 head
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. l.
Pearl barley 300 gr.
Water 750 ml.
Salt about 1.5 tsp.
Ground black pepper taste
Garlic 2 cloves, unpeeled

Cooking method

  • 1) Cut the chicken thighs into pieces. Cut the onion into half rings, grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
  • 2) Turn on the "Fry" mode for 10 minutes. Add oil and fry the meat for 5 minutes. Next, put onions and carrots, stir and fry the remaining time.
  • 3) Be sure to rinse the barley from litter to clean water. Add to chicken, add water, salt and pepper. Stir. Place two cloves of garlic crushed by the flat side of a knife on top. Turn on the "Pilaf" mode.
  • 4) Stir, add salt if necessary and place on plates.
