Cooking method

  • I always prepare this chicken in the evening. Cut the chicken into portions, rinse and place in a bowl. Drain off excess water. Salt, pepper and add seasoning for the chicken in such a way that it is slightly oversalted, peppered, since the chicken will then be stewed in the sauce Fragrant chicken in onion-sour cream sauce (multicooker-pressure cooker Steba DD1)
  • Mix everything well, cover with a foil and put away overnight (you can even more) in the refrigerator to marinate

This chicken has always been our family dish and remains among our favorites to this day. Grandma cooked it in a cast iron on a wood stove, mother in a cast iron pan under a lid on a gas stove. When I got married, I also cooked on gas in a deep stainless steel pan with a lid. And, with the advent of the Panasonic multicooker, and later the Shteba pressure cooker, I began to cook in them.
Of course, Granny had the most delicious chicken and her own homemade sour cream, and cooking on a fire in a cast iron gave its own taste! But, according to my observations, in modern home conditions, in Shteba, the most delicious option is obtained!
Well, I'll tell you a story related to this chicken .... It was 1990, or rather December 31, we were preparing for the New Year 1991 celebration. Peas and mayonnaise were obtained for some kind of "pull" (who remembers those years, everything was according to coupons and in stores it was a "rolling ball"), so we had Olivier. But with the meat dish there was a problem - according to the coupons, we got only stew ... Well, I decided to cook potatoes with it, adding pickles, mushrooms to the table, it seems and not bad ...
At 5 pm my mother comes running with the words, "Guys, I bought" Bush's Legs ", but they were given a package (1.5 kg) in hand, so our beloved chicken will be on the festive table! Mom began to cook it. , leaving the one-year-old daughter with her mother, my husband went for the "Bush's legs" and ... we, having stood in a huge queue, were lucky - we bought a package for a person !!! Arriving home, there were only a few hours left before the New Year, but we already felt when approaching the apartment, the aroma of our beloved chicken (though it did not have time to marinate, and the legs themselves were "foreign"). And it was so delicious for us !!!
