Upma - vegetables with semolina

Ingredients

Semolina 200 g
Boiling water 0.8 - 1.0 l.
Green pea 100 g
Bulgarian pepper 2 pcs.
White cabbage (cauliflower) 1/2 small welk
Potatoes 1 PC.
A tomato 1 PC. (or tomato paste 1 tbsp. l.)
Olive oil 4st. l.
Salt pepper taste

Cooking method

  • Fry the semolina in a dry frying pan until golden brown.
  • Cut the vegetables into equal small cubes.
  • Fry all vegetables in hot oil for 15-20 minutes until soft.
  • Pour in boiling water. mix.
  • Add semolina, stir, simmer for 5 minutes. Add water if necessary.
  • Upma is a traditional Indian breakfast dish. In fact, this is semolina porridge with vegetables. Any vegetables can be used. I cooked according to the recipe from the book "The World of Vegetarian Cuisine".
