Phali with rice

Ingredients

Fresh spinach 200 BC
Walnut 100 g
Turnip onion 1 PC.
Sour Pomegranate Sauce (Lemon Juice) 1-2 tbsp. l.
Pomegranate seeds
Salt, if desired, to taste
Rice 50 g
Vegetable oil

Cooking method

  • This wonderful recipe was shared with me by a good Georgian woman who sells herbs in our market. Noticing that I constantly and a lot buy spinach, she asked if I cook phali, learning that not, she revealed to me the secret of her family recipe.
  • Rinse the spinach, cut off the roots, boil, preferably for a couple of minutes five. Chop the nuts. Put spinach, nuts, onions (preferably red), pomegranate sour sauce (lemon juice) in a blender, if you need salt, beat well. That's all! You can simply eat it with bread, as a sauce for any side dish. The saleswoman recommended with rice. So it took root in our family. I boil a small amount of rice, again on the recommendation, make a boiled sticky porridge, add phali, pour it with any vegetable oil (ideally nutty), mix it, sprinkle with pomegranate nucleoli and a balanced, hearty, tasty and beautiful dinner is ready!
  • Bon Appetit!

Time for preparing:

30 minutes.

Note

For those who are fasting, this dish is just a find: spinach is a storehouse of vitamins, in addition, it will help in raising hemoglobin, nuts - complete protein, rice - carbohydrates, onions from seven ailments, lemon - vitamin C, pomegranate juice has a strong tonic effect, especially useful for blood.

And pkhali can also be made from almost any vegetables and herbs, cabbage, beets, cilantro ... ... Imagine, experiment.

the name is glorious. as in a joke about a grizzly bear: "zachem grizzly? so, ... crushed with his hands ..."
and what kind of non-pomegranate sauce is suitable here?

Thanks for the humor. : drinks: And instead of pomegranate, feel free to take lemon juice!

I understood correctly: boil spinach for 5 minutes? After all, this is a herb, like boiling a salad. Nothing of the usefulness will remain in it. Or I don’t understand something Then you can take frozen spinach (we sell it in packets in portions) For my taste - such a byaka
And one more thing: is it stored? in what and how much? Or is it just fresh pasta that goes into business? Sorry for so many questions, I am addicted to all sorts of pastes, such a lifesaver in our diet.

I think the auto press will not throw sneakers at me.
milvok suggests to cook spinach for about five minutes on steam. it's not like boiling spinach in water. I do it a little differently: pour boiling water over the spinach and keep it there for the same 5 minutes. these manipulations are intended to remove bitterness and harshness from spinach.

Thanks for the help! So of course it's also possible.

I think for a couple because the vitamins do not go into the water, and the specific herbal taste disappears. I think it's not worth the ice cream, nothing will remain of it, though…. if only try in a sieve and steam.
I didn’t. I just always try to cook in one go. I think the dish is so easy to prepare that it is better to eat it fresh.

And frozen spinach goes well in soups, stews or baked goods.

Thank you girls for the advice. This time I didn’t buy spinach at the market, I walked with a loaded horse, but I didn’t carry it in my teeth. I took frozen spinach only with a poached egg. Fry the onion, spinach there and stew a little. Then put everything on the bread, and on top of the poached egg. I think!

It's kind of scary. We need to gather strength.
