Ingredients

Tomatoes 2.5KG
Sweet red pepper 0.5KG
Carrot 0.5KG
Medium heads of garlic 3 pcs.

Cooking method

  • We pass everything through a meat grinder or a food processor. We put on fire and add 200 grams of sugar, 1 - 2 tbsp. l. salt, 1 tbsp vegetable oil. Cook over low heat for about 1 hour. At the very end, add 0.5 cups of 9% vinegar. Spread hot on sterilized jars, close with lids. You do not need to sterilize, just wrap it up with an old blanket until it cools completely. Also, this sauce can be added to borscht or cabbage soup, it will add spice.

Sorry Natinka, I can't say the number of cans for sure, because I always make 3-4 servings. Garlic is not felt at all, we eat it not only with meat and pasta. I grease them with a pizza cake, and then spread the filling. I also add to borscht and beetroot. Or you can simply spread it on black bread - everything is better than store surrogates.

Hello everybody. Now we are making such a ketchup-adjika sauce. Hot and sour bottom. I chose my own characteristics from all the recipes. I don't understand from the sugar, when to put it, right away or together with spices at the end? We do with apples. I understand that they will give acid and vinegar can not be added? Well, the pectin will help thicken, right?
