Sunflower halva

Sunflower halva

Ingredients

Sugar 0.5 cups
Flour 1 tbsp. l. without slide
Peeled seeds 1 glass
Vegetable oil, not refined, not deodorized, i.e. with the smell of seeds 1 tsp
Water 60 ml

Cooking method

  • Fry the seeds.
  • Fry flour.
  • Boil the syrup from sugar and water. Add flour and mix vigorously. Cook until thick. Bring to a nice brown color.
  • Grind the seeds with a blender. Mix with syrup, add oil. Grease the form well with oil and lay out the halva. Tamp. Refrigerate. Remove from the mold after 2 - 3 hours. You can cut and eat.

Source - superkuk ru. An interesting recipe. The taste is certainly not original, but quite a good dessert. I will repeat. BUT! The seeds will be crushed smaller and then it would not be bad to crush them in a mortar. You can safely add nuts.

the seeds need to be dried well beforehand, otherwise when you grind oil begins to stand out and this prevents you from achieving fine grinding.
it is better to pass through a meat grinder several times.
I often make halva (for cakes), the recipe is really a little different
Soap root is added to real halva, I didn't look much, but I didn't find it with quick attempts.

I just lacked oil in my taste
And the seeds, after roasting, absolutely did not need to be dried.
