Ingredients

For the test:
flour 2.5 cups
eggs 2 pcs
pork fat 2 s. L
Filling:
pork belly (I have beef with pork) 500 g
prunes 150 g
onion 1 PC
carnation 1 bud
juniper berries 3 pcs
butter for greasing the mold 1 tsp
salt pepper taste

Cooking method

  • I found a recipe for rolls with an original filling of pork with prunes, I wanted to share with you. These rolls are offered for beer, but not only ...
  • First, prepare the dough.
  • Sift flour, add fat and rub with your hands until crumbs. We drive in eggs one by one, add 7 tbsp. tablespoons of water and knead the dough, roll it into a ball. Cover with a film greased with vegetable oil and leave for 30 minutes.
  • Now let's prepare the filling.
  • We pass meat, prunes, onions through a meat grinder. Add salt, pepper, chopped juniper berries and cloves. Mix well, add 3-4 tbsp. l of water and mix again.
  • Roll out the dough into an oval layer, no more than 0.5 cm thick. Put a layer of minced meat on it, level it with wet hands and roll it into a roll. Swabian rolls
  • Cut into 12 parts. I cooked with 60% of the listed ingredients, so I ended up with 8 pieces. Swabian rolls
  • We put the rolls on a greased baking sheet at a distance of 2 cm from each other and fill them with salted water up to half their height. Swabian rolls
  • Cover with foil and cook for 40 minutes at 180 * C. Then remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes. Swabian rolls

Marish, I'm out of touch, how interesting it is with water, I've never tried baking like that. Everything, except for juniper berries))), is. And the combination of pork and prunes is my favorite. If nothing interferes, I'll try to repeat it tomorrow.
