Flensburg Cabbage Soup (Steba DD2)

Ingredients

White cabbage 400 gram
water 2 liters
Meat 400 gram
oatmeal 60 grams.
bacon 100g

Cooking method

  • The recipe itself:
  • Soak the oatmeal.
  • Peel the cabbage and chop finely.
  • Boil the meat in water for 1 hour. Then oatmeal, cabbage and smoked meats are added to the soup and cooked for another 25 minutes. The meat can be cut into small pieces and added to the soup.
  • A very uncomplicated and unpretentious recipe. Since I already had broth and my homemates do not like meat in soups, I prepared it like this:

  • The supik turned out to be completely neutral with a smoked taste. Oatmeal is not felt at all, apparently it gives satiety to this light soup. My daughter liked to eat a bite with a sausage sandwich. Spouse with bread and mustard.
