Pea Soup, Pea Puree and Soy Cow Pie Filling (Midea Mi-5)

Ingredients

yellow polished peas 0.5-1 cups
carrot 1 piece
garlic 3 cloves
water OK. 1 l
vegetable oil 2 tbsp. spoons
black, red pepper and paprika 1 teaspoon
ground ginger (optional) 0.5 tsp
dill 1 bundle
salt taste

Cooking method

  • Pea Soup, Pea Puree and Soy Cow Pie Filling (Midea Mi-5)
  • 1. Soak the peas for 6-12 hours in cold water.
  • Council. To prevent the peas from sticking, loosen them with a spoon five minutes after pouring them with water. Never soak peas in hot water, they will not boil well!

  • If you want soup, use 1/2 to 2/3 cup of peas, and 1 cup is enough for mashed potatoes.
  • 2. Drain the peas and rinse them under running water. Place the peas in the flask of the soy machine. Add carrots, garlic, 1 tbsp. spoon of oil, spices, salt and water.

  • Council. To prevent the surface of the soup or puree from hardening with a film, add the remaining butter. You can "seal" the surface using cling film, just like with custard (press the film against the surface of the peas so that there are no gaps for air). It is best to reheat the finished dish in the microwave or in a water bath.
  • 4. Serve with finely chopped dill and bread or croutons.

  • 5. If you have any soup or puree left over, you can use it as a pie filling.
  • Chill the peas in the refrigerator for at least half a day to solidify like a pudding. Loosen it with a fork. Fry the onions - equal amount, salt and add to the peas.

  • I made such pies several times during the fasting period, and even men said that "meat is not necessary", it is so delicious.
  • The dough was also made in a bread maker without eggs, and it rose even better than butter.
  • Council. I usually divide the dough 1/3 down and 2/3 up so that the top is the same thickness with the bottom, then I fold the edges of the top layer of the dough under the bottom (like a blanket for a baby). The edges will stick together during the proofing process, and you do not need to fasten anything. In the last photo in the section you can see the edges of the dough, and you will understand what I mean.
  • For the crust, instead of an egg, I greased the top with sweet water.

The dish is designed for

for 4-6 servings (1200 ml)

Time for preparing:

15 minutes

Cooking program:

soy milk

Note

And most importantly - the peas are not "musical" at all !!!
Especially important for those who love peas, but fear the consequences.

Elena, cooked a pea soup .. The basis is your recipe, but I took half a carrot, a slice of squash and pumpkin, half a celery stalk, a pinch of fenugreek. Very tasty!!! I don’t know how I used to live without a cow? Today it is the most demanded device in my kitchen .. "milked" three times a day (soy milk and nut milk, and today I cooked soup). Thank you!!!

GuGu,
Fine! Glad the recipe came in handy (although this is just a general principle for making beans). You can in the same way, but without soaking, cook soup from pea flakes or red lentils.

Carrots can generally be replaced with pumpkin (I do this in many dishes in pumpkin season). I haven't tried it with zucchini.

I also use the "cow" more often than a blender (especially in cold mode). Easier to cook and wash the appliance.

GuGu
Elena, I always add zucchini to pea soup instead of potatoes.I am just mastering the modes, in my model (Joy dJ13b-d18d) the mode without heating is probably Self-cleaning there is still Juice, but I still cannot "play enough" with nut milk, so it's not up to juices yet ....
mur_myau
GuGu,
The potatoes are clearly superfluous there, the taste will not be felt, and the density is already enough thanks to the peas, it is brewed in a paste.
By the way, I should put potato soup in the "cow".

Without heating, this is self-cleaning. I use it to make lemonade, green cocktails from Victoria Butenko, sesame paste (tkhina holmite) and milkshakes. Well, and mine, of course. Then it remains only to rinse the flask under the tap.

GuGu,
PS Try oat milk again, it is sooooo tasty and healthy. It can be hot, it can be cold.
GuGu
Elena, can I have a sesame paste recipe? Oat milk is better from oatmeal (there are quick and long cooking) or grains, and what concentration is 1 meter. Art. for 1 liter?
mur_myau
GuGu,
The base is white sesame and odorless sesame oil (can be replaced with grape).
I posted the recipe. It is intended for a not very powerful "cow" (I just have one).

I take 1 measuring cup of oats, both whole and flakes are suitable. And, I don't know what it depends on, sometimes I get a liquid porridge instead of milk.

In the end, I generally began to bring to a boil, discard and grind without heating. Also try pouring boiling water over and immediately start the cycle without heating.

If not heated, it is better to take flakes and twice as much (two measuring cups). I soak them for a while, literally for a couple of hours.
GuGu
Elena, thanks for the recommendations and recipes, I will try ...

GuGu,
You're welcome! If you have questions about "cows", ask on the forum or in a personal, than I can - I will help.
