For several years we have been selling "smart" buckets with touch control, both stainless steel and multi-colored. Prices ~ 1200-5000 rubles. I have one in the country, blue.

I saw it on sale, but I can't find it anywhere. While I'm cooking, I always keep the bucket open in the middle of the kitchen, because I'm a sharp and fast young lady, I throw myself at it constantly and often from a distance))). And besides the kitchen, it seems that you don't really need anywhere.
Wit
The softest expression this bucket deserves: another razvodilovo for the loot of suckers. Lies every other time.
My bread maker is also contactless and smart. Plugged it into an outlet - and sleep. Like this bucket. You don't even need to reach out. And where does the vaunted contactlessness of this bucket go when the garbage must be removed ?! Throw out straight with a bucket or just a plastic bag? Will he throw himself into the trash bin without contact or drag it there in his handles?
"... Standard 13 gallon (60 liters) trash bags are installed ..." Can you imagine 60 liters? This is the floor of the bath! Are they installed by themselves? Once smart and contactless, then by itself!
Trash can with AC power adapters. I will scream! I have a bucket for three rubles, a Soviet Kemerovo industrial plant under the sink has been worth 20 years. There is a rope attached to the lid, fixed on the wall of the sink table. You open its door and the string lifts the lid ... contactless. Well this is a lope of electricity saved!
And as for the dust and moisture protection ... well, it is in Fig. Go to sleep. Why did the creators of this mousetrap keep so modestly how much they ask for it?

I perfectly imagine just such and use it. for me the most convenient volume

what volume is that from under which you have 60 liters of garbage
Scarecrow
60L bags fit into much smaller buckets. They don’t pull on and turn up. I also use these bags. I have a bucket of 30 liters.

I also sissy When I present for clarity 60 liter glass jarsfilled with garbage, cleanings, scales, scraps ... But imagine that such a pretty Snow Maiden is saving all this until 60 liters are filled, I can’t take out the garbage every day, even though there are only shells from three eggs in the bucket, for example. And I bought a little bucket so that garbage would not accumulate. And I put this bucket in that big one with a lid.
They apparently deigned to joke. Or I didn't understand something. I really hope for the second guess. And you probably keep such a bucket in your dacha in the garden, collect all the rubbish and, when filled, take it to the landfill. So?
Chef
Same. Bucket 35 l, bags 60.

I also use bags of 60 liters, the bucket seems to be 10 liters. They are denser than 30 liters, do not tear.
And I don't need such a bucket either, I, like Scarecrow, shoot from a distance.

Wit, I'm going to ask, do you live alone? Why only eggshells?
There are four of us, we take out the trash every day, and there is always something to take out.

it is not necessary to save much garbage is taken out daily. There were never some shells in it, but I don't like when garbage is right up to the neck. The bucket feels great in a cabinet under the kitchen sink. I even went to measure its height 37, top diameter 32cm
Chef
Our technology is like this. There is a bucket under the sink and a small urn on the countertop. For her, we use small bags from under fruits, vegetables and other things from the store (just fit the size of the trash can).

We do not use purchased bags (sold in packs of 100 or more) primarily for environmental reasons - in this case, we would have to throw out both old and new ones)

After filling the urn, the bag is tightly tied and sent to the bucket under the sink. Without a bag in a bucket, only large rubbish.
The pros of this approach:
a) it is not necessary to constantly "climb" under the sink in order to throw away garbage, including the smallest;
b) the bin is always clean;
c) there is no smell from under the sink - the bags are tied;
d) bags from the store are reused;
e) the garbage due to tying the bags lies in the bucket much denser;
f) you can not use the lid on the trash can;
g) garbage has to be thrown out less often

Chef, an interesting optimization of garbage collection. Thank you! Took a note.

In the kitchen?!?! And wait until it fills up to all 60 liters?!?

A 35 or 30 liter bucket cannot be filled into 60 liters even if you really want to. When marking a bag of 60 liters, the volume is measured along the edge, under the cut. Can you imagine such filling? In order for the garbage to be really 60 liters in volume, you need to take a bag of 90/120 liters, then there will be something to tie up and something to take to take out. Therefore, in a bucket for 30-35 liters of garbage it just fits 30-35 liters (if with a "slide" in the bucket - a little more), and then you take the edges of the bag rolled onto the sides of the bucket, tie it up and throw it away.

I have a family of 5: 2 adults and 3 children. This bucket is for 1 day. Maximum 1.5 days. At this point I don't even need to show off for the sake of appearance - "Oh, but I still take out garbage every day!" I actually take it out every day, or at most - in two days, because the volume of the bucket is simply not enough for more. I bought this specially, because the standard 15 liter was enough for me for half a day. In winter, I have a trash can on the street (300 liters, I think). Garbage accumulates there for several days (we live in a private house, you have to go to the municipal garbage cans). The container is closed. lined with a bag, everything is clean and tidy, does not smell, since winter - the garbage instantly freezes, and does not go out / rot. It is not aesthetically pleasing to store these packages without a tank and, what is most cool, they are fluttered by squirrels, cats, crows. Then the husband takes out. If a lot has accumulated - on the quadra, along with construction / repair / household waste. In the summer it is not so at ease, you have to remember to take it out every day - it immediately rotts and stinks, an infection.

At first I also put a small urn on the table, but it takes up space, the overall one does not fit, etc. I removed it. Now, when I'm cooking, I just put a bucket in the middle of the kitchen (the kitchen is large, it doesn't interfere) and I shoot everything at it, from close and far distance))).

I figured out here, when cooking dinner for 5 people (of which 3 are no small men), I will immediately have to throw away at least 2 substrates from chicken, for example, peeling potatoes, trimming vegetables for salad, a few paper towels (while drying the chicken, for example) , then candy wrappers.In the morning today - shells from 8 eggs, wrappers from 2 packs of cottage cheese, shook out a full container of cake from the coffee machine. Banana peels, tangerines, to mention? What are the shells from the eggs at the bottom by the end of the day ?!))) By the end of the day, you need to dance on the trash can to tamp!)))
Chef
peeling potatoes, trimming vegetables for salad
Scarecrow, and you do not sort? For a compost pit, for example.
Scarecrow
I do not do gardening at all, so I don’t sort the garbage. I have a lawn and trees on the site. The only thing I can pick up sometimes is egg shells and sleeping coffee. Mom scatters to loosen the soil in her beds.
Admin
I hang the T-shirt bag on the hanger just below the countertop and throw the waste into it. I don’t put packages and buckets on the table in principle - I don’t want to keep waste under my nose, and there is not enough space on the table during cooking, there is always not enough space Only if a large number of products are processed at once, preparing them for cooking

Non-contact trash can

After cooking, I twist the bag and throw it into a bucket with a lid, with a volume of about 20-25 liters, inside a 60-liter bag with an overflow on the bucket. Dry garbage directly into the bin under the lid. No smell, no garbage, I take it out every 1-1.5 days, how it goes. If the garbage is still smelling, then I take it out at the end of the day
I keep the bucket in the toilet closed, under the countertop there is a water filter with a tank

And we have a bucket of 60 liters, and we take it out every day ... We have a baby, diapers, + any paper trash. And it is filled almost full in a day. And I try to cut off fruits and vegetables separately, for this there is a special bucket. But sometimes I throw it into the general. We also live in the private sector, my husband takes out a garbage bag in a bin in the village every morning.

We are a party of four. I wrote, "eg"but forgot to add "even".... This I, of course, went into a rage. We are waiting for the bag to fill. And it fills up in a day. And strikingly everything coincides, as in Chefs There may be a difference in small details. And with a lot of cooking or cleaning, you have to endure twice.
I am beautifull
There are three of us. Our dad drinks a lot of milk. In a day one can drink a liter, if it is without training, and if he decides to swing, then 2 will shrink. Plus, my son and I will persuade up to a liter. As a result, a lot of cardboard milk cartons remain, and that's where I put the garbage, tamp it more. We take out garbage 2-3 times a day ... Convenient.

Well, we must be practically kindred spirits .... I have been using this technology for 15 years. Only now friends and relatives are laughing at me ..... And it is so very convenient for me and taught my son to this .....

The forum has already written about the home "compost pit".
Here is an advanced odorless.

There is on e-bay, the price ranges from 4 thousand rubles. (used) up to 13 thousand without delivery. Yes, and it is questionable. But it delivers, but there the price is higher even without delivery.

What kind of devices they can think of .... and I dry all kinds of shells, stubs, tea bags, peels from bananas, potatoes, citrus fruits, pumpkins, etc. in winter on a battery, and then grind and put them in a bag. When we go to the dacha, we take it to the compost.
I remember when my dad bred worms for fishing, they only processed small organic waste into compost.
And for such "non-contact", indeed, the most reasonable thing is a lid tied to the door and opening with it. And no tricks are needed.

How are you going to have no contact with the door?
An4utka
Why should I be in contact with her?) She's clean. The idea is not to get your hands dirty?
Or is it that when the litter is full of palms? Then there are buckets that open when you press the pedal with your foot.

Then there are buckets that open when you press the pedal with your foot.
And there are those where you don't even need to press the pedal! And isn't it more convenient An4utka ? And to dry scraps on a battery is, to put it mildly, unhygienic. I am sure that our doctor (really, Masha?) Will confirm that in this case, not always useful vapors get into the inhaled air.

It is unlikely that something bad gets into the air from vegetables and fruits. From citrus fruits - and in general the aroma is very pleasant.
And what is unpleasant - no one sees it anyway, my battery is hidden from view.
Hippolyte
Yeah...
a bucket that produces compost, oh, how useful it would be in the country ...
