Hello, dear members of the forum! The topic is most likely already hackneyed, but I ask for your help. There was a question about buying a multicooker with a steamer function. I got into the forums, read all sorts of different information, now my head is spinning. : girl_cray1: The model and the manufacturer do not interest me. According to some reviews, this or that model is just a fairy tale, but on other forums they write that this is a nightmare: either the pressure cooker cooks slowly, then the steam flies in different directions, then something breaks and cracks. In general, I'm just confused. Help me please!!!! What I want from this unit: cook porridge, simmer, bake biscuits, multi-cook, food does not stick to the bowl and is not very expensive. Are my requests real?
Aina
I ... only six months ago
1) do not chase brands (this is my mistake, I really wanted Panasonic, now I understand that in terms of functionality it is, to put it mildly, yesterday)
2) Are you sure that you want a multicooker? After purchasing a pressure cooker, I only use a multicooker for baking
3) in a multicooker, the meat will be stewed for 3-4 hours, soups-borscht will also be 1.5-2 hours ... think, personally, this has become very annoying for me, so I bought a pressure cooker, but the multicooker-pressure cooker tandem is the perfect combination
4) consider the Dex-60 model. This is a cartoon with a multi-cook (you can set the desired temperature) with a good bowl, not very expensive and with a bunch of good reviews, only the pan is small in it - 4 liters, but in reality it will be 3-3.5 liters
5) focus on reviews from the forum - here are real people who really cook and write and show everything as it is, and reviews in online stores are completely unknown by whom bullshit

Thanks for the answer. I read reviews not only in stores, but also simply on the forums. Either maybe I just do not have enough patience to read topics of 300 pages, or I am looking in the wrong place. Another question is ripe: what should be the optimal power for this miracle 2 in 1?

Do you mean a pressure cooker?

Now I will try to explain what I myself understand
A slow cooker with a low power is more delicate with baked goods. In a pressure cooker, baked goods are obtained too, but a little more fried, and in a multicooker they are still softer. I have a Panasonic multicooker, with a power of about 670 watts. It bakes for a long time, but very well, especially for tender curd casseroles. Multi-cookers of cheaper Brands, I think, bake no worse, look at the quality of the pots, or rather the coating. As far as coverage is concerned, as far as I've read, Dex is very good!
Now about the pressure cookers. If a pressure cooker has a low power, it will cook very slowly and the word "pressure cooker" will not justify itself.
The pressure cooker prepares like this:
1) gains pressure (it depends on the amount of liquid in the dish, because the liquid boils, turns into steam, steam accumulates, creates pressure and begins to intensively steam the food inside), sometimes the pressure build-up takes 30-40 minutes !!!
2) holds pressure (this is where the countdown begins, which is usually indicated in pressure cooker modes, such as "bird" - 10 minutes)
3) then the time of cooking under pressure passes and the pressure cooker switches to the "heating" mode, while the pressure inside is still very healthy.Over time, the pressure cooker cools down and the pressure drops, but in order for this not childishly heated pot to cool down, a lot of time must also pass (15-20 minutes, or even more), so often the pressure (steam) is released manually, this is a bit dumb the first few times , and then you get used to it and everything is OK!
But still, cooking in a pressure cooker is much faster and more efficient than in a cartoon. For meat - the pressure cooker has no equal!
The slow cooker has an excellent "simmering" or "stewing" mode - food heats up almost to a boil, but it does not boil on it I really like to cook soups and borscht - vegetables do not boil, the broth is transparent, no matter how much they "languish" there ... In pressure cookers, usually there is no such regime, everything is brought to a boil there, and then, under the influence of pressure, it stops boiling.
I have written a lot, I just want you to make the right choice and buy exactly what you want, but whatever you buy, you will be happy, because both the cartoon and the pressure cooker are EVERYTHING !!! There will be questions - I will try to answer!

Yesterday I bought Ourssan 5005. So far, happy, like an elephant! I cooked the stewed beef in half an hour, then the curd casserole. In the morning porridge. I am delighted!

Thank you! About the lazy floor for sure. Although, because of "laziness" I have not let go of her for 2 days. Today I have already bungled borscht and chicken with beans. Just super. Thanks for your help and just for not leaving me in trouble and answering.

Yes, okay, I found trouble ... The choice of something for yourself is a trembling torment in anticipation of immense happiness !!!
I also drive my pressure cooker three or four times a day, and also because of great "laziness"
you don't want to look at pots and a gas stove, right?

True! The husband just laughs and wonders (well, the man does not understand!) Why I seriously approached this purchase. Like I'm crazy, I have nothing to do for so many days to sit and read forums. As a result, when I made my choice, I had to go to another city beyond Orsan, which is 150 km. But I don’t regret it at all. "Toy" is just a miracle! Everyone liked the way she cooks.

so many days to sit and read forums
I just dreamed for 2 years, and then for 2 months I read the feedback forums, then, finally, I bought it .... then I didn't get enough of it and I bought another one, and besides that, thanks to the forum, I bought so many things that my husband. .. but is silent, because it is tasty and every day fresh and different

Yes, I just love to cook, without multi every day there was something new, fresh, tasty. I have a bread machine, I bake bread all the time, we practically don't buy it. I didn't even give a hint about money for a multicooker, moreover, he insisted on a pressure cooker. He just teases, says that I am sick (as you give to young people: Valera, you are sick!)

And I had everything normal without multi and I don't want to, but with the cartoon, some kind of "breathing" opened up ... I just love the technique very much and love it when everything is as it should be, and not with "quench it, here interfere, then add, and then wrap up "... I love pilaf, I cooked quite often before the slow cooker, but it was like this: I prepare mentally for a day, which may not work out, I work for half a day while I cut everything, fry it, and then look after the rice for another half day so that it does not get overcooked and so that it does not burn. : khosh pilaf - right now I'm making a
