Tanya, thanks for the recipe. If you will, I have additions:
1) if the milk is pasteurized, then it is not necessary to boil it.
2) jars for yoghurt and utensils in which milk will be mixed with yeast (yoghurt) must be sterilized. Otherwise, in addition to beneficial lactic acid bacteria, we will multiply colonies of pathogenic microorganisms.
3) as a rule, 4-5 hours are enough for fermenting yoghurt not from a pharmacy sourdough, but from a store-bought yoghurt (type of activation); with a longer aging, yoghurt often becomes acidic, tastes sour and separates the whey.
4) for the best taste and texture, I use high-fat milk or add cream to the milk. Yogurt really turns out to be softer, fatter, tastier and even sweeter!

PS remove the Caps lock in the recipe name and add the MB model name.

Ladies, well, I really want to make yogurt myself
But don't know how to sterilize the jars? Tell me, please?
Juventa
Maybe I can help you with something. I sterilize the jars in two ways: either turned upside down in the electric steamer tray (do not cover the steamer with a lid) for 5 minutes, or in the microwave: I pour some water into the jars and turn on the micro at full power for an average of 1.5 minutes (the water boils and the jars are steamed).

Thank you very much, we will have yogurt soon!

Irish hello, well, everything has already been answered for you, once again I congratulate you on your new assistant, let it please you and your family with new delicious dishes: flowers: Yogurt is my first recipe (now I probably wouldn’t post it), but then everything was on such joyful emotions that it turned out, just all the sellers in the store said that yogurt in BORKA would not work (as well as baby food), but for me these were two important criteria for buying a multicooker (well, I did not understand all of her then charms) I made yoghurt only twice, the first time according to this recipe, I got a very thick spoon, I didn’t know how to insert a photo (I don’t know if you can see it in my gallery, there it is), the second time I did it in 4 hours, underexposed , at the bottom was watery, delaminated. If you do, share your experience

It is possible in the microwave without water, rinse the jars well and put on for 3-10 minutes, depending on the volume of MV and the number of jars. Be careful, they will be VERY hot. You can fill from it after cooling, otherwise it will burst immediately. I sterilize all containers for conservation, bottles (glass) for juice, etc.

Can be in the microwave without water
As for sterilization in a micron of cans - we have a separate topic for this, but since I have already written here, I will answer so that people do not burn their microwave ovens idly.
My instructions for the microwave indicate that it is impossible to heat less than 200 grams of the product, the magnetron will deteriorate.
Microwaves disperse water molecules, but there are none in the glass, water droplets on the jars after washing - nothing at all.
At least 100 grams of water - but put it next to the jars in a cup, then the microwave will last you longer - the magnetron will not fail so quickly.

Of course, I will not argue, but my microwave this year will be 20 years old (by the way), it is one of the very first, and nothing ... if the product is of high quality, then all this is garbage. Do you know how many cans I have sterilized during this time ... not one thousand, because every summer I have a whole basement of blanks.

By the way, if you put just a dry glass bottle, it heats up, and there are no droplets there ...

Tell me, please, if anyone knows what kind of dish you can make yogurt (I would like glass + lids). Where can I buy?
