Tuna cream "Tonnetta"

Category: Cold meals and snacks
Tonnetta tuna cream

Ingredients

Canned tuna in olive oil 1 can
Philadelphia cheese 1 package
Brandy 1 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • This appetizer, which we in the family simply call, sorry, "putty", is very popular in Italy. Unfortunately, we rarely find tuna in olive oil, usually natural, so I drain the broth from the jar and add a couple of tablespoons of oil. Philadelphia cheese is also often replaced with no less success by Ricotta. Brandy is not for everybody. Everything is crushed with a blender to a delicate creamy consistency. Serve with slices of freshly baked bread. Can't dislike it!

I tried to do it today .. It turned out to be a slurry .... do not smear it, unless you drink from a cup .... :-(
The tuna was in its own juice, the juice was carefully drained ..
Disappointment...
Tell me who made this snack .. How did it happen?

Klementina, what if in the refrigerator until morning?
I didn't cook, but I will definitely try!
Klementina
Didn't help :( hoped for it too.

KlementinaI think the reason is in canned food. I have repeatedly come across the fact that canned food with the same name differs sharply in quality from different manufacturers. Even the most famous ones, such as cod liver or sprat in tomato. Sometimes the jar, just after trying, has to be sent to the bucket right away. It's just that I haven't learned to memorize or write down a manufacturer that I didn't like and often step on the same rake.

And I won't do it with tuna! I am a revolutionary Erka and a patriot, I will make saury!
dopleta
By the way, saury is sometimes found nasty!
SchuMakher
But more patriotic!
Klementina
dopleta, yes, very similar. Canned food was that cheaper and smelled not of tuna, but rather saury :-) although the meat is a piece, homogeneous, but the color is grayish :-(

And then it will not be called "Tonnetta", but "Saira ... Saira ...", in short, say it yourself.

Klementina, well, judge for yourself - how else to get "thinner"? The meat is dense, the cheese is dense, the oil no longer even affects the consistency, but the aroma. I make a paste-paste.
