Ingredients

Dry yeast 2 tsp
Wheat flour, premium 500 g
Salt 3/4 tsp
Sugar 120 g
Butter 60 g
Raisins 50 g
Vanilla sugar 8 g (1 bag)
Vegetable oil 1 tbsp. l.
Egg 1 PC.
+ milk = 300 ml
Poppy 5 g (for sprinkling)

Cooking method

  • Break the egg into a measuring glass, pour the milk and add to the rest of the ingredients in the bucket of the bread machine according to the instructions. Dip the raisins in flour and place in the dispenser or add on a signal. Set the program "Basic raisin bread", size L (large), "Light" crust. 5 minutes before baking, grease the top of the bread with milk and sprinkle with poppy seeds.

Almost everything is according to the recipe, only raisins and dried apricots put 40 gr, and halva -100 gr. +0.5 Art. l. cocoa. I decided to make challah out of this butter dough. Knead everything on the "Dough" mode, gave proofing in a bread machine for 1 hour. The dough has risen 3/4 of the bucket. I laid it out on the table, did a wrinkle and rolled 4 sausages (I studied from a video that I found on YouTube, there a woman explains and shows everything wonderfully in English) and I got a kind of braid. Everything would be fine. But I did not take into account that there will be a large lifting force ...
After the challah was formed, I put it on the second proofing in the oven, covering it with a bag. Already there, it doubled in 1 hour. During baking, it was blown apart, it became even funny.This is not challah, but KHALISCHE

Everything else is strictly according to the recipe, first I filled in all the liquids, then I filled in the flour and pressed the delay for 9 hours. In the morning everyone woke up from the abalden smell! It turned out to be impossible to wait for the bread to settle, so at first it seemed to me that the crumb was damp, but grabbing a piece after work, I realized that it was just necessary to set the deferral for 30 minutes less (so that the bread "rested" and the bread reached)

The only question is the prescription. On my "light" crust, the top of the bread turned out to be white and poorly baked. I sin on the fact that I greased it abundantly with milk, maybe that's why. This was the first attempt, there was no photo left. Since we all love the darker crust at home - now I bake on "medium" - everything works out.
