Homemade mustard

Ingredients

Mustard powder 0.5 cups
Brine how much will it take
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. l. spoons

Cooking method

  • We mix mustard powder with brine (cucumber, tomato or mushroom - who can preserve what) until a creamy consistency is obtained. Add vegetable oil and mix again.
  • We send the jar with the mustard mixture to a warm place. I put it in the bread maker's bucket and turn on the Yogurt program or put the mixture in a yogurt jar and put it in the yogurt maker. After one and a half to two hours, you will get mustard, which will hammer your breath: =))
  • We store mustard in the refrigerator.

I prepared mustard according to this recipe, it turned out to be delicious mustard. I cooked in cabbage brine + vegetable oil + 1 teaspoon of sugar and added a little (half a teaspoon) of salt. The brine was already very sour, I thought that salt and sugar should be added to balance the taste. There is no yogurt maker, as I cooked in the evening, the idea came to put the jar on the battery until morning. In the morning I put it in the refrigerator, tried it every other day.
