I bought an Expert for my baby, compared it with my American. Comparison results:
The Expert is more of a traveling option, the American is stationary (the volume of the tank is 2.5 times larger than that of the Expert)
Steam start button: the Expert has a terrible heat, by the end of the first shirt it got so hot that I could not continue to soar with it. The American has two launch buttons: one directly under the index finger, which is very convenient during work. The second on the back of the brush is this button for constant steam output, that is, if you need continuous steam supply. Both buttons are plastic, do not heat up at all
Another disadvantage of the Expert is a very short power cord, I had to get an extension cord. But that way

There is practically no difference directly in the quality of steaming, even this and this one float perfectly (although the Expert has more power). The only thing that immediately after turning on the Expert spat great. The tank may have been too full. After the first spitting (about half a minute), even dry steam went.

In general, one of the serious disadvantages is the heated handle of the Expert and especially the button. If you can still hold the pen, albeit a little hot, then I even aiked from the button, it was so hot. Perhaps this is my personal perception, my hands have always been too sensitive. But the kids have them even more gentle, so you will need to think of something for her convenience. Alternatively, stick a piece of felt on the button. I just don't know if the glue will stick on such a hot surface.
But in general, the steam is decent, it is very good for one or two things. I recommend

Most likely, Expert has the same refueling system. This means that the main problem is overheating of the button. But, as practice shows, this is rather an exception to the rule.
