Hello everyone! I do not know where to write, let the admin delete or move if that. My wife and I bought LG 2051 yesterday. Yesterday we tried French, excellent taste, everything was baked. Today we decided to use white wheat as "basic". The recipe contains 1.25 cups of water and 3.3 cups of flour. The measuring cup in LG is divided into 8 parts (?). The wife claims that the fractional part in this case will look like this:
Help me with a measuring cup

But since I had a "Piterka" in mathematics, I insist that twenty-five hundredths and three-tenths, respectively, for a flask, broken into 8 parts, will look like this:
Help me with a measuring cup

Guys who have LG and the same graduated cylinder, judge. And then this situation introduces us to a stupor.

I have 2 options:
1.Do not bother with complicated measurements and in the case of 0.25 cups per eye, take one quarter of a cup (half a half) and similarly one third. For the main wheat bread recipe, a mistake of a few grams of flour will not play a role.
2. the second option, in case you want to measure everything exactly and have a scale - weigh how much flour is in a whole cup, in the case of wheat flour it will be 150g, and measure 0.25 or 0.3 by weight.

Good luck!

Electronic scales and proven recipes from the forum are the salvation from all failures! Delicious bread for you !!!

Thank you. The scales are there. But really no one uses a "native" cup.

In the household sections of the stores, MEASURING CUPS (glasses) with small divisions and a volume of 250-500 ml are on sale.
Very convenient and a good replacement for any measuring glassware

I also use this
hlebopek
LG has a 230 ml cup. If it says 1/4 cup, then 230 * 0.25 ~ 58ml is needed. (we look already on the scale of ml.)
hlebopek
more precisely, it even says 1/4! and don't count.

For more accuracy, use email. scales 1 cup flour ~ 150-160 gr.

For more "accurate accuracy")))) The instructions for skiing says:

1 GLASS (measuring cup) = 230 ml flour 1 GLASS = about 120g.

What is the misconception? I gave a line from bread maker instructions... I use the weight indicated in the instructions, the result is excellent.
