Bork BM 500 bread maker testing |
Advantages: the timer is designed for 13 hours, and its plus is that you can program not only the full cycle of baking bread, but also the secondary function of kneading the dough. disadvantages: it is not very convenient that the device constantly turns on the panel lock, and you will have to remove it, even if you need to turn on the backlight. With these sensors we had our biggest test problem. After baking another loaf, the buttons refused to obey, the device could not be turned off. It was possible to de-energize - only by pulling the cord out of the socket. In our case, it was not possible to remove the lock in any way (it is removed by pressing two buttons in succession), and when it worked out (about 30 minutes later), the start button refused to work (we wanted to make settings for the next stage of the test). This situation was repeated on three different days of the test, from which we concluded that the sensor unit chronically hangs, possibly due to overheating. Test resultAlthough the bread maker caused not the best emotions due to control problems, in general it coped well with the tasks. Note that the “pale top” is not relevant for her - the loaves were well browned not only from the barrels, but also from the top. White bread was a success - it was fluffy, soft, with a crispy crust. Kulich (photo 2) did not work out (moreover, twice), and we associate this with inaccuracies in the recipe, it did not rise and baked with us. For the third day of the test, we took bread with raisins, honey, dried fruits and cinnamon. Take a look at photo 3 - handsome! The tasters rated it as "excellent".
FunctionalPrograms: 11 cooking programs are offered: Basic mode, wholemeal bread, French pastries, quick pastries, rich pastries, muffins, jam / marmalade, dough (yeast), super fast mode, pastries, dessert. And one more user can compose independently. The Wholemeal Bread program is designed to bake white bread made from whole wheat flour and wholemeal wheat flour. Apparently (although it is not indicated by the manufacturer), this mode is suitable for baking semi-rye or rye (with special additives) bread. There are two short modes at once, which are best used for white bread, they last: 2 hours 10 minutes (this is almost the standard) and 1 hour 28 minutes (ultra-fast). The “Dessert” program remained a mystery for us, from its short description we can conclude that this dish is made from yeast-free dough, since the cycle lasts 1 hour 38 minutes. The baking mode is turned on only for 10 minutes, if you want to hold the baking longer, you will have to go to the appliance each time and turn on the mode again. Features of work: in the programs we are testing (1st and 5th), the dough is kneaded in a specific way. The stirrer worked only for 10 minutes, then it took a very long break, we even decided that the fermentation stage had begun. And then she started kneading again. Loaf: there are only two loaf weight options 750 and 900 g. Bucket: the appliance is equipped with two buckets - a regular one for brick bread and a round one, in which you can bake cakes and muffins. Watching the kneading of the kolobok, it seemed to me that the length of the main bucket-brick is somewhat unfortunate. From time to time the gingerbread man was nailed into the corner, and he stayed there for a long time, as if the blade of the stirrer was a little short and could not capture it entirely. Perhaps this is the reason that sometimes a little unused flour remains in the corners of the form. Management: traditional. By touching the sensors, settings are made and parameters are adjusted (loaf size and crust color). The display is large, the selected parameters are shown with arrows. The stage of the program is indexed with captions in English.
ComfortThe bucket is fixed in the oven as follows: we lower it onto the block and make a turn, and it can also be removed without effort. But the fixation is not very accurate, the bucket dangles during operation. In the process of kneading the dough, a distinct clanging and rattling sound is heard. In general, the device does not work very loudly, we estimated the noise level as below average (according to our subjective 5-point scale - 1). The lid folds back a little more than 90 degrees. It has a narrow viewing window. Thanks to the backlight, it is enough to control what is happening inside. Care: during operation when adding flour, it may be sprayed over the chamber. Outside, you will have to keep an eye on the glass elements, since dust is very noticeable on them, and when cleaning, it clogs in the corners. Power cord: brought out on the back right, length 90 cm. Instructions: Much like a promotional brochure. There is no prescription of programs, so you cannot immediately understand how long the kneading will take in the selected mode, how many stages of mixing are provided, whether there is heating in the selected program at the preliminary stage, etc. But the set of recipes is quite impressive, there are various types of bread, recipes for making pizza dough baguettes, pretzels, croissants. Clarifications and recipes for making jams are made. There are also mistakes in the book, for example, in the composition of bread with nuts and raisins - neither nuts nor raisins are indicated.
AestheticsThis bread maker is one of the most attractive in our test. The casket is made of black plastic, covered with polished aluminum at the front, back and top. The impression is somewhat reduced by the constant dustiness of glass elements on the lid and control panel, as well as the huge company logo. A source: Buy magazine Household appliances |
