Carried away by the sous-vide, I realized that I was missing one more small evacuator (I already have a Steba evacuator). And here I can say by chance, at a discount, I saw and bought myself a small manual vacuum cleaner KITFORT KT-1501.
I really liked this cute little toy.
As usual, KITFORT's packaging is a cardboard box of a beautiful, my favorite, blue, almost turquoise color.
Inside there is an excellent seal for all parts and adaptations from the evacuator.
The kit includes:
vacuumator, weighing 200g
power supply with a cord of about 1.5 m, good length, it is enough for me to reach the outlet without tension
two covers 13 and 20 cm in diameter
6 reusable bags of two sizes with zip-lock: 3 pcs - 22x21cm and pcs - 26x28cm
the first bag in the photo has already been used once
small "bracket" for tightly closing bags with a zip-lock fastener.
The vacuum unit itself can operate not only from the mains, but also from batteries. For autonomous operation, the battery compartment cover opens, and 6 batteries or rechargeable AA batteries are installed inside, according to the diagram on the battery block cover.
There are 2 books:
Manual
Life hacks for KT-1501
The indicated power of the device is only 12.5W.
The vacuum unit is easy to handle and easy to use. There is only one control button, conveniently located on the upper part of the device, and at the bottom there is a convenient "corrugation" so that fingers do not slip when gripping.
The vacuum unit evacuates the air to the maximum vacuum and switches off automatically.
The button is not fixed, that is, as long as we press, the device works, as soon as we release the button, the device turns off, which is very convenient when vacuuming products with liquids, for example, marinades. As soon as the liquid comes to the line indicated on the package, as the level that cannot be exceeded, we immediately release the button and the device turns off.
The evacuator has a transparent removable head, it collects liquid accidentally caught during vacuum. This happened to me almost immediately, the head can be easily removed, washed and dried.
There are also vacuum lids in the kit, but unfortunately, they didn't fit on any of my bowls or salad bowls. It's good that so far in terms of vacuuming, I'm more interested in bags.
The bags in the set are reusable, equipped with a vacuum valve and a zip-lock fastener, so that it would be more convenient to fasten it, there is a special small bracket in the set, by passing it along the fastener, you can easily close it, fasten it. The bags themselves inside, on the underside, have microfilaments, so that the bag does not stick together completely during vacuum. Along the grooves of the corrugation, air is freely sucked out of the bag by a vacuum unit. For vacuuming, it is necessary to very tightly press the suction cup of the vacuum unit head to the valve on the bag or lid.
The life of the package is 30-50 cycles of opening-closing, as indicated in the instructions.
In the Lafhakov booklet, to extend the life of reusable bags, it is recommended to wrap the evacuated products in food wrap or thin plastic bags, that is, to pack them additionally, but not tightly, so that the vacuum apparatus can pump air out of the inner packaging. You can also use paper and cloth napkins for additional packaging.
For example, in the photo: sandwiches, first packed in cling film, and then in a vacuum bag
Sealed, directly in the package, opened sachet of frozen green peas
Sealed dried apples, pre-packed in a regular plastic bag, so that their sharp edges do not damage the vacuum bag
Summary: I liked the device, it is intuitively easy to use, very light in the hand, not very noisy, at least compared to my other Steba vacuum drawer. I hope it will serve me for a long time, reviews on it on the internet are mostly good.
