Cherry jam with walnuts

Ingredients
Orange
not subjected to heat treatment 1 pc.
Walnut halves 100 g
Sour cherry 1 kg
Elderberry juice
(I took red currant juice) 200 ml
Jelly sugar
(I have 500 g of sugar
+ 1 sachet 500 g
Lavender
(or 2-3 teaspoons of dried flowers)
(I skipped this point
well, I have no lavender) 2-3 petals
Cooking method

1. Scald the orange with boiling water, thinly cut the peel (zest), squeeze the juice.
2. Fry walnuts in a dry frying pan until a pleasant smell appears, cool.
3. Wash the cherries, drain the water, remove the seeds.
4. Weigh out 850 g. cherry pulp and pour into a saucepan.
5. Add to a saucepan with cherries: orange juice, zest, nuts, elderberry juice, sugar. Mix.
6. Add lavender flowers to the mixture and bring to a boil.
7. Cook, stirring for 4 minutes, then test for thickening.
8. Pour the mass into jars scalded with boiling water and close immediately.
