I have a clathronic. has been working for more than a year (t-t-t), nothing burst, although I immediately put the holder-stand along with the eggs under cold water.
At first she herself was a little worried, remembering the bursting stand of Comrade Basi.
I cannot compare which cooking principle is more convenient, since this is my first egg cooker.
Although I once cooked it in a funny plastic egg boiler for three eggs, I measured the water with a glass.
I think this is a matter of habit, although it seems to me more comfortable with a handle.

Interestingly, where the water is measured with a glass, after the water boils off, a signal is heard about readiness, and then the egg cooker turns off? Or do you have to run and run to turn it off?
Yaltynka
thanks for the answer, otherwise I seem to have a crush on her soon to take ...

Yes, you need to run to turn off and cool the eggs - and the instructions say: turn off after the signal and cool in cold water. I have CLATRONIC EK 3497 for 6 testicles. 4 eggs were boiled soft-boiled in 10 minutes, this is faster than in a saucepan, and without dancing with tambourines.

I have a Steba EK 3 Plus. A glass with graduations is attached to it. The amount of water depends on the number of eggs and the degree of cooking. When it's ready to squeak loudly, you need to turn it off yourself. I tried to make scrambled eggs for 1 egg (there are 2 forms), it is welded (it did NOT burn, but I just had to scrape it out), but I did not smear anything. Maybe I should have greased it with oil, another time I will. There is a large form that is not mentioned anywhere, as I understand it, for an omelet, I have not tried it yet, because I make an omelet in Panasonic. There are 2 plates for steaming, with and without a rim.
The plate for eggs is strong, the plastic is a bit "gray", after reading here about cracked plates, I do not cool eggs in it (just in case), although I think that nothing will happen to it, the plastic is not fragile, but plastic.
In the bottom of the measuring cup sticks out an iron pin for piercing eggs (so as not to burst)
(-) When the contents that look like soap bubbles come out of the eggs, it is welded to the bottom of the egg cooker itself, but since it is all metal, it can be washed easily enough, I somehow did not immediately wash it, after a while I just I turned it on without a top, with a little water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid, it boiled a little and I turned it off. After cooling, it was easily washed off with a sponge with the remaining water and the product.

Bottom line: I am very pleased, and glad that I took this particular model.

p. from. this is my first and only egg cooker, though it is a long time to choose, so there is nothing to compare with, only my subjective opinion.

I finally ordered an egg cooker for myself, with a glass - Sinbo SEB 5802, I'm very happy, because I managed to order for only 659 rubles, this is the price with delivery to Pyaterochka. Long time to choose, read the whole topic. On page 13 it was written about her. If I understood correctly from the information on the Internet, then this egg cooker automatically turns off after the end of cooking. This is true? Who has one, please develop my doubts.

Yesterday I bought myself an egg cooker with a regulator.
Question: should the water always be poured out, or should it remain, just add a little every time? The fact is that we eat eggs almost every morning, therefore, now I will cook almost daily, and my husband and I do not have the same breakfast time, he leaves earlier, my son and I later. Each one cooks for himself separately. Share, plz, who does what

Good night Girls and boys, tell me, is there a yaytsevaka with a delayed start ... I really want to have a toaster with a delayed start in the morning, like in a cartoon with porridge, and a little bit (litter if this question ALREADY sounded)

And I, at last with you, bought an assistant this week, Steba EK 5. Every day now I cook eggs, until I have played enough. Interestingly so)))

Olya_, Congratulations on your purchase! I'm not exactly an egg fan, but a deviceaholic - for sure! I like the cooking process very much and for my taste the eggs in the egg cooker are tastier and more tender. So I do not regret buying at all.

Regina V.When I was choosing an egg cooker, I also considered this option. I saw these three sizes on the Internet for a different number of eggs. But very controversial reviews stopped. I realized that this is a lottery, because some people work, while others have broken down on the first day. So I didn't risk it and bought a SIMBO with a metal cover. But your price, of course, is very attractive. Have you had it for a long time? How does it work?
pawllena
I really love soft-boiled eggs, but all my life, as long as I can remember, I've been eating them from a cup, well, I don't like picking in shells. People around who have seen it cause bewilderment and jokes. I seem to have got used to jokes for life. I never tire of thanking all members of the forum for generously sharing their invaluable experience. Here I not only learned how to bake bread, but also how to shop on ebay. My first purchase brought me a lot of joy. Here is my answer to all my mockers -Egg cooker
Now I am choosing an egg cooker with you. Thanks to everyone who shared feedback about their assistants.
kirch
Lena, in our family, it was also customary to eat eggs from a cup. I still eat like that
pawllena
So, it means I'm not alone, otherwise I had to eat separately from some of the guests, so as not to amass a bunch of complexes.
obando
Is it like a cup? I ask seriously, without a joke. Maybe I will like it that way?
pawllena
Simply. I cook soft-boiled eggs. I break it and put it in a cup with a spoon, and then I eat it.Firstly, if there is a desire, you can mix the yolk and white, and secondly, add something other than salt. (I eat with croutons)
kirch
I always mix the egg yolk with the protein. And now, when for some reason there is more protein in eggs than before, this has become more relevant for me, because I don't really like protein

Girls need help !!! Found a shinbo 5802 egg cooker, new, at a very good price, but not complete (no measuring cup). How critical is this? Can I guess the amount of water without a glass, or is it not real?
julifera
Without a glass - it’s tight, there are 3 vertical lines of marks and very tight one after the other.
It is better not to spare money and buy an egg cooker, where the water is not regulated by a glass, it’s a mess with it.
As my old one gets worn down - I'll buy it with a regulator.
Babushka
Julia, I also. But it has not worn out for 20 years ..
janka
julifera, thank you, I thought that without a glass, it's a pity, the price is 60 UAH ... so I thought ...

I also got from relatives SIEMENS without a glass, for 5 years I have had a surprise egg cooker, but I still love it. Do you need it? For me, yes! I have a socket for 2 burners, because when they are busy, and they are almost always busy, it is very convenient! Yes, I can't get a crumpled egg in it, BUT ... we're not very good at them, I won't give them to a child, but cool
janka
we don't eat soft-boiled food either ... mostly hard-boiled .. then it's probably worth buying I'll go to the store today. I'll look at her again ... thanks !!!
sima12
I am also very happy with mine, though I only use it for the 3rd week, but almost every day, how easy it is to cook eggs with it, this process absolutely does not bother me now. Thanks to everyone who shared their feedback. Already my girlfriend got an egg cooker at my suggestion, she is also happy. Only me with a regulator and her with a glass. I bought it at Kidstaff, both for 50 UAH, new in packs. One husband brought from Poland as a gift, and the other was donated by relatives, they did not use them. And we just came in handy
igorechek
I am choosing an egg cooker. I have a question to decide on a purchase.
There are 2 different types of egg doneness setting:
1. Just a 3-position knob
2. Depending on the amount of water to be poured.
So it turns out that in the second case there is a difference in cooking time with the same degree of readiness, between, for example, 2 and 8 eggs. It's clear.
And how is the same degree of readiness achieved in the first case? After all, the cooking time of 2 and 8 eggs will be different, and the regulator is set only to 3 degrees of readiness, excluding the QUANTITY of eggs. It turns out that if you cook 2 eggs, they will be overcooked, and if you cook 8 eggs, they will be undercooked.
So, despite some inconvenience with measuring the required amount of water, the model with adjustment by a measuring cup is more accurate and better?

It turns out that if you cook 2 eggs, they will be overcooked, and if you cook 8 eggs, they will be undercooked.
Oddly enough, with my regulator, if I put it on the "bag", then it turns out exactly in the bag, I didn't cook 1, 2, 3 or 4 eggs at a time, I did the same and soft-boiled.
igorechek
Well, okay, if it works. Thank you. It's just really incomprehensible - the more eggs are loaded, the more cooking time is needed. This is the basis of an egg cooker with different volumes of water for different numbers of eggs with the same degree of readiness. How is it here? It does not have a built-in microprocessor-scale.

I have already answered this question in another thread, at your request

the more eggs are loaded, the longer the cooking time will be.
The less water is poured, the more eggs are boiled. Apparently this is due to the fact that the evaporation area is different. Most of the water is poured when one hard-boiled egg is boiled.
I usually cook 4 eggs, sometimes 6. I didn't time the time. I like that I can adjust the "bag" to my taste.
I do not like that large eggs are cramped in the nests. I put them "jack" someone with the tip up, someone with the booty. And still a bit cramped large. It seems to me that in the one that is larger, the eggs are freer.
I took 6 eggs for lack of extra space, besides, I rarely cook more than 6 eggs, and her equipment is a little richer.

I have such an egg cooker. If necessary, I can use a syringe to measure in ml how much water is needed for how many eggs.
janka
If it's not difficult, I will be very very grateful, I bought it. So far, by typing, I found out how much water is needed for three soft eggs and three hard-boiled ones.
obando
Plate for the SIMBO 5802 egg cooker !!! Well, something like this, I tried to measure as accurately as possible, the amount of water is given in ml.
number of eggs hard medium soft

1 97 58 33
2 90 53 30
3 83 48 27
4 76 44 24
5 69 40 21
6 and 7 62 36 18
janka
Thank you very much, very much for your hard work. You helped me a lot. Now I will rewrite it in my notebook and I will use it when cooking
obando
There may be 2-3ml error back and forth. It is very difficult to measure precisely such small quantities, especially where soft. I measured it several times, took the average reading. Therefore, if the first time does not work out, then add or subtract 1-2 ml.

This table is valid for those egg cookers, the principle of which is "readiness for boiling water" and there is no cooking time regulator.

Shteba has a principle of different "water as much as you want, cooking is regulated by time" and 3 time regulators; soft-boiled, bagged, hard-boiled

And to be honest, this Shteba principle suits me better: the water never boils away to zero, and the eggs are ready on time. And since the water does not boil away to zero, the bottom of the egg cooker does not boil.
obando
Admin, I wrote this specifically for the Simbo egg cooker, since janka bought an egg cooker without a glass. I can't say anything about other egg cookers. Rather, I have no data for others. And I saw your egg cooker, I really like it. I stopped the price from buying, because I am very limited in funds and size, too big for my one-room apartment, every centimeter counts. Otherwise, I would also have bought one, it is, I admit, more convenient.

I do not have such an egg cooker, but you wrote an interesting plate anyway. Informative.
And maybe someone will need it for use.
As I understand it, for a smaller number of eggs (not for a model with a timer) more water is needed due to the fact that water simply evaporates through the voids, and if they were filled with eggs, then the water remains under the eggs, in the container.
3-5-7 ml more evaporates through each empty hole, depending on the degree of readiness
And Shteba also has only one model with a timer. Fifth, for 8 eggs. There are also models for 3 and 6 eggs, but they work on the principle of water volume. Cheaper but less convenient.
