Ingredients

warm milk 1.5 - 2 glasses
ghee 600 g (1 kg of butter, I use Valio. Melt the butter over low heat, remove the foam until transparent.)
eggs 2 pcs.
yolks 8 pcs.
raisins 250 - 300 g
granulated sugar 500 g
yeast 1.5 sticks

Cooking method

  • Dissolve half the yeast, 1 teaspoon of salt, ¾ cup sugar, 300g ghee and 2 whole eggs in milk. Shake everything in milk and leave in a warm place for at least 6 hours.

  • After 6 hours, the mass should have a not very pleasant smell, and it should be so.

  • Then add the remaining yeast, butter, yolks pounded with sugar to this mass and immediately add flour, knead and add raisins. The dough shouldn't be steep. Put it in a warm place wrapping it with something.

  • In tins, greased with butter and sprinkled with breadcrumbs, put the dough in half, let it rise ¾ in the tins and place in a preheated oven for baking over low heat, gradually adding heat. Bake for 1 to 2 hours depending on the depth of the molds, you can cover with foil in the middle of readiness so that the top does not burn.
