Tomato Algae Smoothie

Ingredients

Small tomato 1 PC.
Cabbage:
colored,
broccoli,
Brussels
2-3 pcs.
Basil a handful of leaves
Seaweed:
spirulina,
chlorella

1 tsp
0.5 tsp
Salt of necessity

Cooking method

  • This smoothie is for those who really want to consume seaweed, but the taste of spirulina is very unpleasant for them. I was advised not to mix spirulina with anything: with banana, citrus fruits, berries, and fruit puree ... All this is not the same ... As for me, spirulina is best combined with tomatoes. Therefore, this recipe.
  • So, this smoothie can be prepared in different ways:
  • - and just grind everything in a blender (peeling the tomato from the skin), then there will be tomato seeds in the cocktail,
  • - and in one step in a jug with a filter Philips Blend & Go Mini Blender HR2874 when everything is put into the filter at the same time,
  • - and in two stages, when first the tomato juice is prepared in a jug with a filter, and then, without a filter, everything is poured with ready-made tomato juice.
  • I liked the latter more than the other options because the volume of the drink is larger than in the second option, algae are not sifted out, and the smoothie turns out to be of a delicate consistency.
  • But in the photos I only have the first and second options
  • We cut the tomato.

  • We wash the basil.

  • I have frozen cabbage, but you can also use fresh cabbage.
  • Tomato Algae Smoothie
  • Then we choose one of the cooking options. Grind all the ingredients in a blender. And we drain the smoothie, leaving coarse particles in the filter, ... or through a sieve.

Manna

MariV
Yes!

Seaweed dried - load dried into a blender, or pre-soak for 10-15 minutes? Which is more correct and why?
Manna
Iskatel-X, I do not soak the algae separately, they will take moisture in the drink. I usually do not drink immediately, but just after 10 minutes.
Musenovna
Iskatel-X, Spirulina is not exactly algae, but rather an algal bacteria. The powder from it does not need soaking.
