Anna, 8 o'clock right the most yesterday was. Although before, I also cooked so many of them, no less in time. Minced meat by the way turns out so plump.

Hello dear ladies!
I was interested in this wonderful saucepan, without thinking twice, I bought it and let's drive it. I have 6.5 liters, no-name Chinese. There are High, Low and heating.
First, baked milk. On High, brought to a boil in 2 hours and left overnight on Low. In the morning I found a violent boil. And it seemed to me that on Low, the contents should barely gurgle with rare gurgles. But I liked the taste of the milk.
Then there were lazy cabbage rolls. Brought to a boil again and prepared to simmer on Low. But here, too, the boil was strong, and the cabbage rolls cooked too quickly. I periodically switched to heating, but then the boiling stopped altogether.
Jelly. All the same. Violent boil on Low and cloudy broth as a result.

At first I thought that the Chinese were to blame, and I had to buy the brand at a higher price. Then I climbed around the American forums and saw that the ladies there were discussing the same problem. It turned out that the 70s slow-cookers were indeed slow-cookers. And today's manufacturers have increased the temperature of slow cookers.

So far, I have found a solution in the "square-nest" timer setting.
I set the timer so that the pot turns off every quarter of an hour. During shutdown, the content stops boiling and reaches "melting". During switching on, the contents come to a boil only at the end.
I read here that small slow cookers will fry even harder. Maybe it will come in handy for someone.

Most likely they were undercooked (underdotted) - that's why the broth was cloudy. I cook jellied meat for at least 10 hours, but more often it turns out a little more than 11-12 hours.
Although the turbidity of the broth is a relative value, someone needs the broth like a tear, but for me - so that it tastes good.
Masinen
Bertha, I'm not boiling on Low.
A small 1.5 liter cooks for a very long time on low.
But the Chinese one for 800 ml, that yes, boils in it on low and is active.

The fact of the matter was that it was boiling violently, and for the jellied meat I needed languor. So I found a solution with a timer socket.

Lucky! I read here that it is the little ones who cook violently.

So it was written about a very small ... one liter which.

I have Kenwood for 6.5 liters and there is no boiling on Low, the dish is exactly to languish, the jellied meat turns out to be transparent.
vernisag
I didn't have a boil in the coonwood either.

I'll tell you what I had in Electrolux. I heated the milk, put it on high for 2 hours, at the end it barely gurgled. I had to leave and changed to 2 hours low. How surprised I was when I came - a very strong boil and the milk boiled away decently.

Girls, I have the same story with LOY in an expensive 6.5 liter slow cooker Gusinart. Compared to the HIGH mode, boiling is very strong, it seems to me that the modes are confused, which should not be in such an expensive model. In Sibrizka, which is 5 times cheaper, all modes work normally. Very disappointing.
Feechka_
And you contact the service center that serves Cusinart - let them check it. Or they will fix it or change it to a new, normally functioning one.
natalia27
Lena, as far as I understand, there is no service center of this company in our city. When buying, it was agreed that in case of a malfunction, contact the store, and they send it somewhere. To be honest, I don't want to get involved with this. All I want to check the temperature in these two modes, to compare, but my hands do not reach
Bertha
It seems that it still depends on the manufacturer. The point is that too much boiling can be controlled if required.

I bought a slow cooker Crock-Pot, cooked only cottage cheese in it. It turned out great
First day on this site. I opened this topic, read 10 pages, but it turned out that no one had written anything about such a saucepan as mine. I would like to hear feedback and advice. Please, tell me who has the same slow cooker as mine, and tell us about your cooking experience in it. I would appreciate that.
I uploaded my croc sweat photo, I don't know how it goes.

The photo was uploaded, but I don't see it in the message. Tell me where it disappeared, where to look for it ... OUCH!

But maybe someone already has the same and will share their experience. Hopefully.
Today I am preparing baked milk in my own one, which is in the photo (I am using it for the first time). It will be ready in the morning.

pot, very stylish! I saw these on European trading floors, but I ordered it easier, like many others, so that later it would be easier to navigate in cooking.
And good luck in mastering your beauty! And share your developments with us.

In my opinion, this is the same as ours, only the form is different, and that's it. Also hi, low, and varm instead of auto.
But my car looks more like a varm, so I think it will be the same.

Somehow, this slow cooker has a whole pot outside, it seems to me better if it is completely recessed into the body.

I don't think it really matters. The body does not have thermal insulation properties in slow cookers, as in multicooker. And it is recommended not to fill the upper part.

Yes, but heating comes from all sides. And in this one only from below. It turns out like on a slow stove. And in classic slows, like in an oven.
Bertha
Yes, that's right. If the entire protruding part is not filled, too little useful volume is obtained.

Yes, my MV pot has a bottom
has a smaller diameter than the top,
protruding above the heating pad.
This means that it must be filled at least to the level
from which the expansion begins, and which does not come into contact with the heating part.
From this level, the top of the pot
protrudes above the heating pad.

This is very convenient when you need to cook something - in small quantities.
Even if the pan is not completely filled, the upper part of it, which protrudes above the heated stand, heats up completely and evenly. This is stated in the instructions and I myself brought my palms close to the pan, and it gave off heat, like from a stove, even for mode 1.
If the entire pan is in a depression and comes into contact with the heating pad, then it is better for such a pan when its entire volume is full.

For clarity, which one is inside (see photo).
Today I made baked milk and photographed MV after she freed her and removed the white milk deposits that appear on her inside after 8 hours of simmering milk in pots.

Yes, that's right. If the entire protruding part is not filled, too little usable volume is obtained.

I explained above that the non-protruding part of the pan is convenient for cooking small amounts.
A good pan for cooking and large volumes, this is undeniable

My MV (gryta) Crock Pot (photo below)
made of high quality ceramics
with non-stick coating.
Power 150W (very small,
which means she needs very little electricity).
A saucepan, like a multicooker, but not quite that.
This is a real Russian stove.
It has 2 operating modes: short (1) and long (2).
There is a heating mode.
Capacity 4.7 liters.
The price is decent - 999 SEK, which is more than 100 euros.

The pot can also be washed in the dishwasher.
I quickly do it by hand using yes detergent
and vinegar (or vinegar acid) to remove white deposits.
I wipe the pan dry.

This pot can be used
for cooking and in MV,
as well as on the stove (any) and in the oven
(put the pan
not in a hot oven).

***
Ceramic dishes must be handled with great care,
temperature changes can spoil it.
Before plugging the pan into the network, the ingredients with which it is filled must be
the same room temperature as the saucepan.
Also, do not pour cold water into a hot pot.

Easy to clean?

I have already written above what and how I wash.

I prepared baked milk in MV (I tried it in the morning.)
When the milk cooled down, more flavor was added,
aroma of real baked milk!
A ruddy crust
also tasted good.

Cooking Pts. simply:
Poured a liter of milk (3%) into the MV saucepan (just to the required filling level),
turned it on in the 1st (slow) mode, for the whole night.
Turned it off in the morning. There was a light ruddy film on the surface. I removed the tape.
The milk turned out to be a beautiful creamy color.
She heated the bottle and poured the milk into it.

The cottage cheese is also wonderful!
I poured milk and kefir (3%) in a liter.
First I set mode 2 (for 1 hour), and then for 3 hours, mode 1 (gentle).
I love home cottage cheese and whey!

I explained above that when a pan is completely filled, the contents are cooked in it, just like in a real oven. What do you mean "classic"?

On the contrary, it is more convenient with a protruding part! You don't have to fill the entire pan, it is enough - to the level of the ledge, there for this the pan has different diameters of the lower and upper parts)
When fully filled, the heat spreads evenly along the walls (from the instructions, and it says why it is convenient, in the sense that the pan protrudes above the heater)).
And if the whole pot is in the recess of the heating pad, then the pot must be filled completely.

Here is a photo - baked milk is already in the pans. Fill the pan with milk to the level of the ledge.

My apples baked in a slow cooker Crock Pot (photo below)
A RECIPE from the recipe brochure that came with your purchase.
Fragrant apples soaked in sweet, aromatic syrup.
The filling of dried apricots, I have - dried, chocolate, soft, I cut it. You can add cinnamon and sugar to dried apricots.
I removed the middle with seeds from apples (with a special knife, it removes the entire core well and beautifully, but I pierced it several times and not completely, it turns out quickly.)
I put dried apricots stuffing in the resulting depression.
Place the stuffed apples in the slow cooker pot
and added 100 ml of cold water. Oh, how delicious it was afterwards!
Slow cooker - on the HIGH mode (1 hour), and then on LOW and left for another 3 hours.
I love baked apples!

Playful
It has been a long time since I came here. My Chinese monster has been idle lately. And the other day I read you and wondered why blue baby girls are positioned as goods for children. Mine is just 7 months old, we are actively starting and trying complementary foods. So I think, what can I cook for him, for some reason now, on the contrary, everything is done quickly, there is not enough time, because there is an eye and an eye behind him ... Basically I boil vegetables in a pressure cooker. While we are eating boxed porridge, maybe later, when it will be possible to eat ordinary porridge, I will put it at night, so that in the morning there is a gorgeous stewed for children ...
bukabuza
Playful, I cook my porridge and meat in it. The meat is very tender poluchaetsya and the cutlets are not tasty with gravy poluchayutsya. I was just not the elder, not the younger, they refused to eat porridge from the boxes. And slow is a thing, I put meat in large portions at night in pots, for children without spices, but for us it is properly seasoned. And in a little porridge for breakfast. Very comfortably.
