Tangerines in caramel

Tangerines in caramel

Ingredients

medium tangerines 8-10 pcs
sugar 1 st
cinnamon (sticks) 2-3 pcs
orange liqueur (I have Cointreau) 2 tbsp. l.
pistachios (preferably raw) 30-50 g
water 300 ml

Cooking method

  • I want to share this bright and juicy dessert right now, in the cold and rainy period of our summer!
  • The recipe has long been waiting in the wings. A lot of our seasonal fruits ripened and there was no time for overseas ones.
  • Peel the tangerines, removing the entire film if possible. Place in a heat-resistant form.
  • Cut the zest of two pieces into thin strips.
  • Pour sugar into a saucepan with a thick bottom and heat until it darkens. Pour in water and stirring constantly, prepare caramel.
  • Add cinnamon sticks, zest and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add orange liqueur, chill.
  • Tangerines in caramel
  • Pour the caramel syrup into the orange pan, cover and refrigerate for 3-5 hours.
  • Tangerines in caramel
  • Sprinkle with pistachios before serving.
  • Tangerines in caramel
  • The dessert was infused, the fruit was saturated with the aroma of cinnamon and acquired a caramel-nutty taste with a cinnamon hue.
  • Tangerines in caramel

The dish is designed for

6-8 servings

Time for preparing:

1 hour + cooling

Note

Let these tangerines, similar to the sun, warm you!

Try it, Olyaif you and your husband love citrus fruits. Spicy and juicy caramel! And to cook everything - nothing. At first I thought that they would need to be baked, I waited for a cold snap. And now .. waited! I didn't even have to turn on the oven ...

Marina! This is caramel-tangerine temptation

Does liquor play a big role? I have nothing alcoholic
And you, our dear craftswomen, that no recipe is a spoon or two of wine or liqueur

Indeed, a creative approach, ordinary tangerines - and how festive and elegant it turned out!

Seeing the recipe, I was so impressed, I could not take my eyes off, so this bright color fascinated. Color therapy, not otherwise. Now it is so rainy and cold in our country that we do not have enough strength to fight this - outside intervention is required.

Irish, I tempt you here with my last strength! Glad you liked!

Alcohol is desirable in some recipes.
He brings something of his own - aromatic and gustatory. I cannot accurately describe the process of a chemical reaction. Here you need to see our specialists ...

At home I always have rum and liqueur, sometimes cognac - I keep it only for baking and desserts. For a hundred years, two bottles will not run out in any way - after all, you only need 1-2 tbsp. l, in a bottle almost 1 l. (This is how many tablespoons - you have to count!)

Irish! Just don’t think anything bad - we don’t drink, we only taste.

Thank you, Zhenya - glad you liked! I now have this recipe added to the "magic wand" box! It prepares quickly, but looks elegant and delighted the taste.
And, so you have the same bright tangerine-orange suns on your nickname. Then the recipe will definitely enter the house!

The drop is complete! Nice, sunny, bright! Bravo!

Marish, you can probably also make medium-sized oranges? And disassemble the grapefruit into slices and, too, caramel ...

This last photo, where the transparent caramel surface, is simply mesmerizing, so I'm fantasizing ...

Angela, Thank you!
It is a pity there is no smiley girl bowing to the ground to bow to your numerous applause!

I see - you are a lover of citrus too!
And now I caramel ALL! This makes any fruit look like a chic dessert. What's the fruit - I even "caramelized" vegetables in honey. There is a recipe somewhere here (I will find it - I will insert a link).

Here, Zhenya, I found:

Galina, Mashathank you girls!

On the remaining tangerines, I removed the white film as much as possible and kept it a little more in syrup. It turned out even tastier.

Tangerines in caramel

I highly recommend not to be afraid to cut the zest in a thick layer, leaving the tangerine without a film at all!

MariS, So tasty. I love citrus fruits and will definitely try. Thanks to Marin for the recipe.
Summer
Marina, how beautiful, what a radiant, orange magic! Lovely, I'm fascinated! I will take them to bookmarks and hit all my own for the New Year, we only have tangerines in winter, but this is also good, there is something to wait

Try it for health Olya! I will be very pleased if the recipe comes in handy!
Citrus fruits are very uplifting. It was believed that these are winter fruits (apparently because earlier they were supplied only at this time), but now there are so many recipes with them and so many new tasty combinations with different fruits ...

Thank you very much for the praise - very nice!
I just wrote above that earlier only in winter citrus fruits were on sale ...
Olesechka, it is a pity that will have to wait long. Apparently from the fact that we saw tangerines only in winter, the smell of cinnamon and citrus became for us exactly the winter New Year's smell!
Summer
And I love to wait for tangerines, this is the anticipation of the holiday, and now yours, Marish, the recipe will decorate and delight my winter, I always want more sun in winter

Olesechka, I will be so glad that this will be my small contribution to your good mood !!!

I also want more sunshine in winter and love that citrus scent. Childhood memories are associated with it: the anticipation of the holiday, the Christmas tree, toys, the smell of homemade baked goods ... Happy time and this recipe is probably my return to those childhood dreams.
