Scarecrow,
And what is this Nordic drowning with? Also coal-wood?
Scarecrow
mur_myau,

Yes. We only heat with wood.

By the way, I remember reading it somewhere. what people cook even in the furnace part of the stoves. There are ovens without ovens, there are many of them (both manufacturers and types), they are certainly cheaper than a cooking oven. The furnace of my Nordic is solid cast iron. If you melt it, there is such hell)). It will hold the temperature.

This particular model is called Buran-2. She is on Avito too.
Thank you dear, I'll go and take a look in more detail)
And we, too, are practically fellow countrymen-Tula, we have a summer house in the Zaoksky district

Girls, explain to me, please ... Why are ready-made ovens better than self-made ones? Here is a Russian oven hachunimagu !!!!!!! And how many recipes from Ivanych in the Russian stove - I still want it even more !!!
So I want to consciously figure out - what is better to want and why?
Scarecrow
A.lenka,

In my opinion, these are somewhat different things. Not even different, but from the same row. but with its own troubles. My oven is kind of "simpler" to use. After all, the Russian stove is a stone. It has a frenzied thermal inertia due to its high heat capacity (hence the languor in the Russian oven: the dishes were left there, and the oven was hot for a very long time). Cooking takes place in the same place as burning. On the other hand, this is a grandiose structure that requires a serious foundation during construction, a specialist stove-maker, long-term kindling, space and a considerable amount of firewood. It is good to have it in the room where you live. There you can do it in between things, heat it up, use it for heating and cooking, etc. And I have it in the gazebo. I don’t need these adventures, I don’t run back and forth and don’t want to occupy half of the room with a stove))). My stove is a very heavy structure, it is made of cast iron, that is, its heat capacity and inertia are very impressive. At the same time, it quickly melts and heats up to the desired temperature, warms up the room (gazebo). But it also cools down. of course. faster.
Chamomile
A.lenka, for a Russian stove, you need a good stove-maker. and you will not find them now in the afternoon with fire. will do badly - you will toil all your life. my friend's house burned down because of a bad stove

And then you will come, but my sundress is not ironed !!!
Natasha, I have the same garbage! My husband tells me that I always incite him to all sorts of adventures, but he cannot refuse me
And by the way, this year we are planning to build a long-awaited house in my beloved, beloved Karelia !!!

I read it to my husband! Answer - And rightly so!)))

Sometimes you just want to jump into the car, throw the dog and go somewhere!)

Irina F And why does it seem to me that the kokoshnik will suit you?

Listen, why did you have to heat the stove?)))

About firewood! We need to somehow get together and show how my husband and I almost together cut down trees on a plot of 15 acres)))
When you come home on Monday, when your neighbors ask what you did, you answer: 50 trees were cut down! Further pause

As you both talk about Karelia temptingly, I just started thinking
A.lenka
And I mean Karelia ... Amazingly beautiful places! Earlier I had to go there very often for work - and I fell in love with Karelia with all my heart and soul.
Later we sailed on a motor ship along Ladoga and Onega. Unforgettable impressions !!!

Listen, why did you have to heat the stove?)))

The convector stands there and heats it up. That is, not that we are drowning, but we maintain +5, so that it is above zero. There is a shaft of firewood, so to waste the electrician. I walk past the dogs - I'll flood. And I have green onions planted there in boxes. Let it get warm too))).

About firewood .. Once my French teacher was visiting me. We were all sitting in the gazebo, winter, the wood was over, I went to chop a few. She was in a dumb shock for about 10 minutes, seeing how civilized (who comes to her classes from work, and therefore civilian / painted / with trinkets) a lawyer shouting "Kiya!" a huge cleaver (he really is 1 m not less) a chock of oak boar! My girls are used to it, but for the unprepared it is an eerie sight.
Scarecrow
Irina F,

Irk, in which settlement is your site? And the stove there you have a buit? !!!
Irina F
Nata, my plot, just bought by some miracle !!!, because after us no one was able to register land there, it is located in the small village of Kostamayarvi. Twenty kilometers from the town of Lahdenpohja and 40 kilometers from the town of Sortavala. From there, you can fly to Valaam by rocket along Ladoga in 40 minutes. And still not far away is the Marble Canyon, where the film "The Dawns Here Are Quiet" was filmed.
The village is small, near a forest lake, around a forest. And also ... silenceaa !!! I love Karelia, I can talk a lot about it! I rest there with my soul and body!
My friend has a dacha there, we used to go to her, but due to the rapid growth of the family, we were denied home
But there was a reason to start, finally, construction. However, due to the employment of my husband, I do not know when all this will be organized.
mur_myau
Scarecrow,
Thank you! Very interesting, I read about this stove on the Internet.
For giving the most it.

What if this idea comes in handy ...
Oktyabrinka
Scarecrow Nat, is there a hood above the Nordic stove in your gazebo or not? I am very interested in this question, in general, we broke the Russian stove and installed the Kalvis heating boiler-stove with a water circuit, of course it loses a lot in design to the Nordics, but we bought it very profitably, now we are solving the issue with the hood.
Scarecrow
Oktyabrinka,

We thought and ran, but did not install it. The fact is that it will go out into the street and will greatly violate the thermal insulation. When the stove is heated and there is even excess heat, everything is fine. But when it stands and is heated to +5 in winter (so as not to freeze), then all this heat will simply fly away into the exhaust pipe. It means that the pipe must be shut off somehow for this time, etc. We decided - it is better not to install it at all.
Oktyabrinka
Natasha, thank you, we definitely need an extractor hood, because in winter we will cook on the stove, we will think.
Scarecrow
Irina F,

Ir, tell me how is the house in Karelia? Does it work? Under construction?
