My husband helped, we crushed ordinary sugar with a rolling pin, and today we baked it again. Already sent to the oven.

Girls, what a beauty it turns out! And I received a gift from my beloved to NG, a Bekker syringe press, today I tried to make such cookies and nothing came of it ... I sit and almost sob ... I took the recipe from the instruction book itself, divided it only in half, 4 cups flour is too big for us. But the dough didn't want to separate from the syringe. I've already tried everything. One hope for yours, Lenochka, recipe. I'll try one of these days, how we will finish it. By the way, the cookie itself tasted very tender. I just made cakes in the end ...
Elena Tim
Mila, and greased the baking sheet with something?
Mila_sha
Helen, no, I have a silicone mat, and the dough itself is buttery. I have been baking for many years, just with a syringe for the first time
By the way, now I looked, this one-to-one recipe (it does not give a link to the topic here on the site) - Press cookies (kneading in a bread maker), only I even had less flour, 390 grams (half portion), and I don't like vanillin at all, I don't add it

Mila, try to plant the cookies just on a dry baking sheet, they should stick to it, you know, that's the whole point. And nothing sticks to the silicone, so the dough is not able to separate from the syringe, so nothing happens. Do not be afraid, after the oven, all the cookies will bounce off the baking sheet, like cute ones.

Elena Tim, Helen, I tried a simple sheet, the same story. I even added milk to the dough and kneaded it well again, the dough became softer, but still did not want to lag behind the syringe, my husband helped, I thought I was a handkerchief, let me, let me, and nothing too. My first cookie came out normal, I somehow peeled it off, and the next ones did not want to at all, and did not even peel off (well, having lost its shape, of course, I tore off).Okay, I'll try the recipes from our site and show you what happens. I will try to take pictures of anything. Today I was so upset that it was not up to the cameraman. Girls, thank you for your responsiveness, moral support is also very important, and practical advice is always invaluable, I will try. Then I wanted to try a new rug and a syringe ... I wanted to show the class at home, hee-hee ...

Whitewash, God, well, it would be upset about why! Everything will work out, I'm sure.
But actually, it's strange ... this particular recipe seemed unkillable to me.
Maybe it's the syringe? Uh, I'll go study the recipe once more ...
Mila_sha
Elena Tim, Helen, maybe she made a tough dough, although everything is by weight ... What can you guess now, tomorrow we will try it once more, I’m stubborn ... I and Bread Maker at one time only got normal bread 7 times. Although I also did everything according to the recipe.
Elena Tim
And it seems to me that on the contrary - the dough could be viscous, therefore it did not settle. Has the butter melted too much? Or after kneading, you did not immediately start spanking the cookies, and the dough became softer? Oh, so many questions ... And the milk there is just too much.
Mil, when next time you are going to do cookies, make them right here according to this recipe, step by step, without changing anything, well, the maximum oil can be replaced: instead of 82%, take 72.5% fat - I did that, I liked it better, if I remember everything correctly.
Damn, it should work! It simply cannot be otherwise! In any case, I sincerely wish you this!

Elven, baked exactly according to the recipe, very tasty, soft, crumbly.

I baked in an oven preheated to 180 * for 13 minutes, and in a cold princess for 9 minutes, deposited from a Metaltex syringe. Thank you very much!

I made the icing sugar in a stationary jug blender, mixed butter (I took 180g spread + 50g cheap margarine) with powder, kneaded with a whisk from a hand blender, and then with a spoon. I deposited it immediately, without cooling.

I made another portion, but completely on table margarine, maybe on creamy margarine it would have turned out better, but I didn't like it, it baked longer, did not blush, practically did not sit down with the press, helped to lay it out with my hands. After a while, they became very stale, including only in oil !!!

starch per serving I put 15 g

Martina @, unfortunately, Lenochka, the author of the recipe, has not been on the forum for a long time.
But I'm sure she'd love your feedback.

Yes, it's a pity that the author does not come, this recipe is excellent!

By the way, in fasting you can replace butter with vegetable.
The result will not be affected... Checked!
Quote: Elena Tim

True? You've already done that, right, Irish?
Yes, I did.
But when mixing, you need oil not all at once, but a little bit. I do it in a combine. As soon as the grainy mass becomes plastic, the dough is ready. In this recipe, the binder is starch instead of eggs. And butter is responsible for richness. You can safely change the creamy to the vegetable one. (And I still add a drop of soda).

Of course, the taste is not one to one like butter. But they didn't notice my difference.
So these cookies are good for fasting.

Very relevant now, thanks!

Girls, what if some of the flour is replaced with almond flour? Or nut cake ...
Nobody tried it?
Today I just made milk from pine nuts, the cake turned out so good.

Well, I decided to check it myself.
So, there were two tasks - to bake lean cookies and attach nut cake.
I replaced some of the flour with nut cake, used corn oil instead of butter. You could put less oil, because the cake does not absorb it.
I don't have such a wonderful syringe, I put the dough through a meat grinder.
These are the "curls"
