If you ferment fermented milk for a small child, then it's better not kefir, but bifidum, and definitely the ferment should be dry - for example, lactin. No over-fermentation! It is imperative to sterilize all dishes that come into contact with milk and sourdough. It is better to ferment in a separate glass jar. If the milk is not UHT, then it is imperative to boil it! And if UHT, then only fresh and just opened!
Nataly
Thank you girls for the answer! Then I will not rush things, let it grow older, but for now I will do for myself
I already want to change canned food for self-prepared mashed potatoes, but for now I want to try steaming in a pressure cooker
Nataly
Girls, tell me, in what mode in this cartoon can you cook steamed vegetables and meat?
Manna
For a couple? Have you fitted some kind of steam rack for this bowl? It is possible in any active mode: Porridge, 110 ° С (on Omelette or Manual).
Nataly
No, there is no bowl yet, but I saw what you can buy in stockman. It's just that the second slow cooker is large and it is somehow dumb to cook one potato, carrot and a small piece of meat in it.
anna_k
I unexpectedly ended the epic with the search for an extra cup
While my husband was alone at home, he got bored ... Well, he slightly modified my mule with a file so that a bowl from Redmond RMC-01 would fit in it (I have two of them). In general, now everything works, but the dear one hangs out. The Redmond bowl fits quite tightly, and the lid is difficult to close. I haven't tried cooking yet.
Manna
01 and 3060 have completely different bottom geometries and diameters. Have you tried cooking with this bowl before?

The cartoon passed the tests - potatoes with meat in the porridge mode for 20 minutes turned out perfectly. Husband and son destroyed the portion at lightning speed So everything works

... Girls, how do you get corn and oatmeal milk porridge in it? You like?
And in general, delicious milk porridge, in your opinion?
anutka2011
corn and oatmeal (from Irish chopped oatmeal) - they turn out great, I like to darken them on heating to make them more "silk"
the only thing is to periodically stir the corn
and I cook in water, add milk to the plate for those who wish
I don't know about Herculean - I don't boil it, pour boiling water over it and warm it up a little in the micro

In my opinion, not tasty.
Milk runs, the lid does not save, you cannot reach the insides, then a persistent musty smell remains.

I do not recommend this CF in any form. Complete disappointment.
Cifra
RepeShock, and on what program do you cook porridge?
Nothing runs on manual at 90 degrees. I cook Slovenian rolled oatmeal in 1.5% milk. An excellent result comes out.
Masinen
Cifra, and what kind of oatmeal? You can have a photo of the packaging.

The lid is non-boiling, removable, you don't need to get anywhere, you take it off and wash it, no problems. It is held on a pin, pulled and removed. Where won't you get?
Svetlana62

what is this oatmeal?
Masha, take the hercules "Selyanochka" 10 min. in a blue pack, the flakes are the same, large, clean, harsh. I cook for 40 minutes on "porridge" 1: 5 or 1: 6 and let stand for a while, in whole milk.

Well, sorry! I also have something to compare with (I consider it unconstructive to measure something). As for the multicooker, I also spoke only IMHO. Probably, I was lucky, and my baby copy is more successful than yours. I sympathize!
Stafa
Svetlana62, you do not have a single decent multi, to be honest, of which xs can be this phillipok and decent, but against the background of cartoons worthy in preparation and taste, he is an obvious outsider, which is what I wanted to say RepeShock... Cook for health, if you like, but the conclusions and assessments are not only positive. And everyone has the right to speak up. Any cartoon will cook soup and eggs, but that's not why we buy them. And according to taste preferences and ease of use.

I would say that this is more a matter of personal preference in cooking and taste preferences. I will not compare multicooker by leadership, because everyone will have their own list of preferences. I'll just say that 3060 is by no means the last on my list of priorities. Rice for a side dish, for example, I like most of all in 3060 and (it surprises me, but) in 31st Cromax. I didn't have an old Panasonic in use, so I can't compare with it. But in the new Panasonic, as in the Bork multicooker, rice is not what my family likes. Surely, there will be those who will challenge me and say that "I do not understand anything in rice." I hope I didn’t get my point across too much.

Stafa, and figs would be with her, with this porridge (although, to be honest, I took it just for breakfast, so as not to drive big multi in the morning).
But the absolutely not tasty buckwheat finished me off ... although, I have very tasty cereals, I go after it especially, because buckwheat is my favorite porridge.
And this musty smell from the lid ... In general, I was not lucky with it, I was terribly upset.
Good MV and SV are so relaxing that there is no desire or mood to dance before this one.

Girls, thanks a lot.
Your opinions helped a lot. Still, apparently, this is not quite what I need. I don't cook porridge in water and UHT milk. And it was the boiling porridge mode that was interested in, and not the manual 90 degrees. I will look further.
Manna
visMaybe you should look for a pressure cooker then (with a mechanical valve)? Milk will not boil in multicooker. In the sense it will, of course, but outside the bowl you will have to catch it.
RepeShock

Man, I don't know where the opinion came from that milk does not boil on porridge, it seems to me that it is not so.
It does not boil right away (which is understandable, otherwise the milk will run away) But it may well boil later, when it is already absorbed into the cereal (therefore, it does not run away in a normally regulated mode). If the liquid does not boil at all, it is unlikely that the porridge will cook, but it cooks perfectly.
Programs with certain algorithms work, and the moment when the porridge boils can be short-lived.
Manna
Irish, I will not argue - I rarely cook milk porridge. For sure I know that porridge does not boil in my Redmond 01, in Brand 701 it boils after 9 minutes from the beginning (and at that moment it can run away), at 3060 it periodically boils all the time of cooking. And in the rest of the multicooker I don't remember how the porridge is boiled (I say, I rarely cook it, and if I want porridge, I prefer it from a clay bowl) So, it is quite possible that there is boiling without running away at a later time from the beginning of the regime. Many praise the porridge from the old Panasonic, although there are those who do not like these cereals. Here, in general, the taste is very difficult to choose deliberately.

P.S .: I'll try today, for the sake of interest, to cook in bork and see if there is a boil and when

This is true)
What is your bork? I understand that something from the MV, if you can see.
In 701 I often cook hercules on water, there the program is porridge just for it.
Stafa
In Panas I tested the mode of milk porridge, when I tried to cook more porridge than it should be a couple of times with pumpkin. There, an algorithm for a gradual increase in temperature and porridge boils in 37-40 minutes, almost at the very end of the program.

Yeah, well, that means it's boiling all the same.

Right now I'll put some kind of porridge in the bork. I found corn grits. I'll boil it.
RepeShock

Stafa, so I approximately also thought.
This means that where the porridge is running, this algorithm is broken or not executed.

But I like the principle of cooking in cuckoo and bork more than in the brand. Sometimes it is very annoying to the brand that you have to wait until the pressure drops or bleed off manually.

Yes, it's very interesting to hear about your bork.
Manna
Cooked. I’m so, in short - after all, the topic is about 3060. In the first 10 minutes the temperature reached 98-99 ° С, but there was no boiling - the milk just frothed. Then the temperature dropped to 86 ° C for 10-15 minutes. And after that I stayed in the region of 96-98 ° C until the end of the program (I put 1 mst of cereal for 3 mst of water and 2 mst of milk 3.2% for 55 minutes), there was a boil, light, but observed.

If you are interested in more detail, then I can write in that topic about 600.

In December 2014 I bought this multicooker. I liked the design and volume very much. I have been using it for two months already. My impressions: very compact, very conveniently located on the table. Prepared: charlotte with apples, pears, lemon, bananas. All charlottes turned out with a bang. The dough is baked and very tasty. Charlotte turns out to be very beautiful. I cooked rice porridge in milk. It turned out wonderful. Miss with potato gratten. I misunderstood how to set the cooking time, as a result, I baked it in an ordinary oven. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Yes, I like it too, it is the small volume and correct operation of all programs.

I cooked it in ordinary pasteurized milk with a fat content of 3.2%, I followed the recipe exactly as written in the instructions. Round grain rice (not steamed) 100 gr., Milk 450 ml., Sugar 20 gr., Salt 3 gr. I cooked in the "porridge" mode, according to the recipe, I increased the cooking time to 20 minutes. As a result, the multicooker brings the milk to a boil for 10 minutes, and then cooks the porridge for 20 minutes.

Marina, thanks for the answer. This means that it does not run away with whole milk. I have it too. Probably, it runs away on milk diluted with water, but here I can not say anything. For me, milk porridge is exactly cooked in whole milk, not half-and-half or first cooked in water, and then milk is added. Pure milk porridge never ran away from me. I can still, to be sure, a piece of plums. put butter in the bowl before cooking - just in case, additional insurance to extinguish the foam.

I haven't been to the forum for a long time. In March 2014 I bought this multicooker. During this time, I was not disappointed in her. Since there are other multi-cookers, the operation is not intensive. I really have it practically for breakfast. The main thing I like to cook in it is cocoa with milk and fried eggs, when the protein is already dense and the yolk is still liquid. I think! From time to time I make milk porridge (UHT milk, 90 degrees) - normal flight. The sensors are working correctly. The lid is unique, but I already feel this multicooker and situations where liquid spills through the holes in the lid are extremely rare.
I get pleasure when I use it: beautiful, stylish, high quality. (Pah-pah-pah!)

This is how I cooked semolina porridge today - it was everywhere: on the side, under the inner saucepan, on the inner lid and inside, behind the multicooker on the table, under the MV and in the slots below. I cooked porridge as usual - half water with milk, cereal the same package as before

I don’t know what to do now - in fact, it’s useless for me for breakfasts - it’s impossible to cook normally on the delay, the dairy products are not the same on Hand Porridge. Yes, the scrambled eggs, pasta and rice for the side dish are great.

Yeah, my little redmond doesn't have that
And if you set a low temperature in manual mode - 90 degrees? Can I cook like this with a delay?
