tada - glue gun to help!
Aha! And I am inclined to this idea.
Glue tightly on the side of a dense tape, and then sew a cover to it - then it certainly won't crawl!

Or is this board level everything in this price range?

Girls , maybe someone recently purchased an ironing board, please share what you chose ...

Inna, I bought a Philips GC240 / 25 board relatively recently at Ozone
Happy as an elephant. There is also the fact that I have ironed on the kitchen table all my life. And this board (like, probably any other) can be adjusted in height and ironing has become much more comfortable, the back does not get tired at all.
The board is VERY large, I did not even expect it, but I have it laid out only when I iron it, and there was a place to clean it up. But the surface is large, but I'm used to the table, that there is a lot of space.
In addition, I have a steam station and the board is just adapted for this - a large place where to put the iron and the lower part of the board is mesh, it does not deteriorate from steam.
Unfortunately, I could not find a replacement cover for this board, which is, of course, irrelevant, but I would like to have a stock for the future. Now, by the way, I looked at Ozone - there are replaceable covers. Buy something ...

Crochet,
Innochka, look at DENKA's ironing board at IKEA. I have had such a board for almost two years (I bought it in the summer of 2015). All eyes then overlooked, studying the Internet. And then I saw how neighbors brought an ironing board from IKEA into the entrance. I looked at the site and immediately bought TWO. To yourself and to your parents.

I am happy with everything, especially the fact that the maximum height fits my height. And the price is normal. There is one drawback - the wire from the iron gets constantly between the board and the metal stand. I'm already used to this - I skip the wire under the board and nothing interferes.

SvetaI, Svetlana, covers for this board are in M-form (she is also very pleased with me for more than 3 years with a steam station, no better is needed)

Innusik, Crochet, I also have a huge Philips, I bought it even before the crises. And tossed between it and the BOSCH TDN1010 active board. I was greedy for Bosch, the scales tipped to size and the price was half the price, and I also found it for the stock. With Philip, everything is fine, I like everything, but I still find it inconvenient to iron small things on him, I bought an additional tabletop from Ikea. But a friend from the same time uses a Boshik and recently bought another one for a new apartment, she praises it very much. With Phillips, it will probably be hard for you, its weight is comparable to yours, well, if it does not stand stationary, and you need a lot of space to hide.

Natusik, and what exactly is your Filipinochka?

Girlswho will tell about charms the benefits of active ironing boards?

Innusik, I have a Philips Easy8 GC240 / 25, I found it out from the picture.
I myself did not use an active board, but as I understand it, it is very convenient for capricious fabrics, especially silk, when they strive to slide off the board. There are boards with only one direction, and there are boards with 2 blowing or blowing air. And why I was attracted by this Bosch, that the price is not the same as that of the professional ones.At the time of my purchase, Phillips cost me 4.5 thousand with a spread of up to 6 in others, the Bosch minimum price was 8, and the more sophisticated ones were from 17. And now they are probably more like a wing from a Boeing. Due to the fact that she stopped sewing, she herself decided not to spend money.
Another plus, as I understand it with an active board, is faster steam removal, reduces the likelihood of steam burning hands and the laundry is less damp after steam ironing.

Svetlanochka, in one of the reviews, the uncle writes that the board is not for steam generators:

Philips Easy8 GC240 / 25, The board is normal, but there is one thing, but very weak fastening of the stand for the steam generator, welding there is a mistake, they write that it can withstand steam generators up to 4 kg, I have 6 kg (Tefal GV8960 Pro Express Auto Contro) but they write on the websites that the total weight is 4.7, this is not the GENERAL weight but without the IRON. Further, there was no STORAGE BASKET about the board in the kit, I did not write a complaint because of this nonsense, and the basket is not needed. I would like the site company to check the goods for a complete set themselves! In order not to keep the delivery people at the door, while I sort out and assemble all the custom-made things, making sure of the complete set. (Conclusion board not for steam generators , since they will be heavier)

I just need a steam generator ...

in one of the reviews, the uncle writes that the board is not for steam generators:
InnaIt seems that this is his own conclusion based on the fact that someone writes that the welding quality is poor. That is, everything is rumored.
The board is positioned exactly as for steam generators. And the quality of welding can be judged only during long-term operation. I'm OK, but I never thought about it AND Irina F, writes that she has been using it for a long time and everything is in order.
In my opinion, the main plus is in the mesh bottom. My ironing became better and the laundry after ironing was drier than it was on the table.
If I iron for a long time (two hours), then water may even start dripping from below (a little, a few drops).

I agree with the girls for 100. Maybe that uncle sat down instead of the steam generator to check the strength of the welding
I have a phillips steam generator, I won't tell you which one I don’t remember, but it’s standing on the trowel, too, three or four years have passed since the start of operation.
One of my friends had an incident with stability, they made a replacement. Knowing about this experience when buying, I unpacked the packaging immediately in the store and checked that the store was in the other end of the city and once again shuffled to the other end of the city, if something didn't smile at me.

Can I also praise the Philips board? I have had it for 4 years, if not more. And about 1.5 years ago, I also gave it to my mother-in-law - I ordered it through the Internet with an advance payment, and she was delivered to her home in another city. So she's happy too. Although before that she flatly refused to replace her homemade board. Complained that modern ironing boards are unstable - her daughter has a cheap board that does wiggle at times. And Phillips is very cool. And I like the wings for ironing shirts. And the antenna for the wire is made so that there is nothing to break there. At my previous board, the wire clung to a plastic latch and it broke after two years.
