And what is not as abundance in Canada as here? I haven't had a chance to visit yet ... I thought, since the neighbors - so everything is the same as here, in the states

Fedot, but not that one ... Between us, the border and customs, take a duty if it exceeds the allowance.
Even your Omerzon does not send to Canada, and our choice is much less, and the prices are much more expensive ...

I have already purchased Cuckoo 1054, and Sanyo is worth collecting dust, I will send it anywhere in the world

Where do you live? if not in America, then it makes sense for Americans to buy .. they will buy from themselves, shipping is cheaper than from overseas. Offer where you live, there are people without problems with transformers

Good day!
help me please!
now I live in the USA, at home in St. Petersburg there was a wonderful cartoon - Panasonic.
Arriving here, the first thing I decided to buy it.
but I can't find such a model on the Panasonic website anymore.
I reviewed everything on the Amazon - well, I can't find it.
I understand that they are rice cookers here,
but I have only one desire - the regime of milk porridge.
please help me with a link to a miracle - a pot with this function.
really looking forward to it!
THANK YOU!
Pakat
There are multicooker in America, rice cooker are called ...
Anything that says Fuzzy Logic or Micro-Computerized is a multicooker. True, some of the functions are somewhat different than those of the Russian ones.
Multicooker is usually for 5.5 or 10 cups of rice and should be chosen according to the size of the family.
And there is no such model and will not be, the voltage is different, 110 volts instead of 220 ...

what model do you mean?
the one I used in St. Petersburg?
so it is clear that the voltage is different, but why there is no such model is not clear.

yes to me, in principle, it does not matter Panas or something else, a thread .. milk porridge is important to me.
Do you happen to know which mode it is? and on which units is it?
thejane
I just want to know which of these machines can be used to cook milk porridge and what this mode is called.
I can see their abundance on the Amazon. on this I am lost.
dopleta
Well - what is possible, there is no doubt about it. And which of them is the best, none of us will answer you, since for this you need to test each one and compare the results. Therefore, choose the one you like, compare modes and choose the best one.

thanks for the tips!

thejane, if my memory serves me right, then in Panasonic-SR-DG182, there is no possibility to steam, there is no steam basket ...
If possible, replay the order, pay a little, but take a more functional one, the steam mode will come in handy ...
thejane
Eh, there is no way to replay, the order is in dispatch, and to be honest, I practically did not use this function before. Until I cook without it, I will need it .... then I will order a separate piece.
Thank you

but we did outplay in the end.took a small one with a steam mode)) Panasonic SR-MS103
and in HP Panasonic SD-YD250 in which mode to cook bread from rye flour?

Hello, dear forum users. I am a new Canadian resident and am trying to buy CF. But, I had to admit, as Pakat wrote, that the choice of products is much more limited than in the neighboring USA.

Pakat, really American online stores don't ship to Canada? I think I stumbled upon sites that talked about sending to anywhere in the world, including Canada. ... ...
And the taxes for the purchase of CF in the States (by mail) will be counted when? Will Canada post or an American store take care of this?

thejane, have you already tested your new CF? Isn't it small? Initially, you wanted to buy more, I think. I, too, hesitate between SR-MGS102 and SR-MS182 / 183.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hello, yes we have tested =)
it is not small for us, since there are only two of us. I mainly use it only for milk porridge and stewing meat.
porridge from a liter of milk is obtained for several breakfasts, and only I eat the stew, so the volume of this cartoon is not small for us.
sometimes I make an omelet there - also for 1 time for two, if it was big - it probably wouldn't be so high. (would spread along the bottom big)
Rice is the same - you won't cook a whole kilogram of it =)
for two, a little cartoon is just that.
Good luck in choosing

I also wanted to buy a slow cooker, but as I understand they are not there at all in the US as a species, I bought a rice cooker with steam and slow cook functions, but I can't figure out where to find recipes for it? At least even how to cook potatoes - on steam or on slow cook or in rice mode? while I cook Toko rice and pilaf, but I'm tired of the same thing. model SR-MS103. Thank you!

understandably, thanks, then I will figure it out, by the way I was looking for recipes on the Panasonic website, I didn’t find any recipes, but I didn’t find that some new SR-DF101 multicooker is a bit similar in shape to mine, although mine is more functional as it is with a screen and more modes, but I think they work the same way, I'll try to look for something on her.

Hello!
I read a lot about cartoons, I'm already tired, I don't know what to choose .. Today I opted for Elite (this is how I understood spam + pressure-cooker), but then again I came across articles about the harm of Teflon and the hunt disappeared .. Is there really no multi with ceramic coating ?? Stainless steel bowl does not fit, because I want to actively bake)
Help plz!
So my requirements for the multi are the functions of frying, baking, porridge, etc. ... + preferably the functions of a pressure cooker. A ceramic or other harmless coating is required. I live in the USA.

Thanks in advance!
Pakat
sada, I haven't done a search in multicooker for a long time, I don't need it ...
There are practically no multicooker with a ceramic pan, maybe a rare exotic.
There are many simple rice cookers with a ceramic pot, as well as slow cookers.
Do the search yourself, look for a rice cooker ceramic inner pot, maybe there is a new one ...
sada
Thanks for the answer, Pakat.
I did this and did a search on 'stoneware inner pot'.
Multi Brand 37502 has a ceramic bowl, but unfortunately it is not intended for our network (110 volts) (((

I just don’t understand why ordinary modern multicooker doesn’t suit you, for example the one that I use - BORK U700 ??? What is the meaning of this ceramic coating? After all, ceramics, as far as I know, is a very good heat insulator, which means it will heat up for a long time, but will the heating be as uniform as possible? For which dishes should the temperature regime be so strict?
Gypsy
Do you seriously consider the word * ceramic coating * in rice cookers to be ceramic? Is it like in pans? I fried pancakes twice in a * ceramic * frying pan, the third time everything stuck like a piece of wood. And I got out my Teflon pans. And of these, like Dina Fried, I want to make a thread for the garden. In my rice cooker there is a titanium coating .. but this does not mean that there is 100% titanium. Think it just doesn't stick? I'm surprised .. honestly

sorry there was a typo
Floks
And what is there to be surprised ?? I am not a material scientist and I have no idea whether the coating is ceramic or not, what to laugh at once.In any case, if the coating is called ceramic, then it’s not easy ...

The health effects of non-stick coatings have been argued probably since the day they appeared, on the site /forum/viewtopic.php?f=205&t=11919 (I encrypt, otherwise the bread maker does not want to send to this site) there is some information on coatings. Although everything can be doubted and this link is not a guarantee of 100% truth, it nevertheless sounds convincing to me.In general, it is common for a person to believe exactly what corresponds to his beliefs

Understand that any multicooker is just a saucepan. Just electric and with a timer and a thermal sensor. Certain modes work until the water evaporates (rice, for example), that is, as soon as the sensor detects that the temperature has risen above 100 degrees (the cereal has absorbed the liquid), the multicooker will give some heating time to bring the cereal to readiness and turn off (it will switch to heating). Pilaf, all sorts of cereals (crumbly porridge) are good here, and not just rice.

Other programs run on time - that is, this or that mode will be supported for as long as you specify. Roast, stews, soups, steaming. The field is widest.
Ceramics is a very controversial topic. Quite a lot of information is laid out in the topic on dishes

Hello, dear members of the forum!
I have a question - what kind of multicooker or rice cooker in Canada will correspond to the functions of CUCKOO 1055? or 1054? Tell me please.
My daughter is moving from Ukraine to Canada. She loves her cuckoo, maybe someone wants to exchange CUCKOO 1055 or 1054 (We have both in excellent condition for a similar function with a voltage of 110 V (which will work in Canada)

Hello,
Pakat, I just like Rita do not understand how rice cookers perform the same functions as multicooker.
Could you, as a more knowledgeable person, suggest in more detail what else it will be possible to use the various functions of cooking rice.
It is clear that modern multi-cookers, which are sold in a large assortment in Russia, are made on the basis of rice cookers, only all modes differ in temperature and cooking time. Let's say in those rice cookers you are talking about there are separate functions for baking, steaming and porridge. Let's say you can fry something on baking. Will you have to cook everything else, including soups and stews, on a slow cooker? For example, I do not use a slow cooker, because for me it is very long. Usually, the rice cooking modes are always fully automatic, so nothing else can be cooked in these modes, since it will be impossible to interfere with the process?
I have been studying this issue for more than six months (since I accidentally found out about the existence of a multicooker). And I came to the conclusion that everything here in North America is called multicooker, these are units that combine a rice cooker, a double boiler and a slow cooker, well, sometimes a pressure cooker, which is why they are called multicooker here. Acquired, praised here and on other similar forums preshkukker 🔗... Yes, not bad, but still not quite what you need. It is an electric pressure cooker, which also combines the functions of a double boiler, pressure cooker, rice cooker and slow cooker. But, you cannot open the lid during the cooking process, you must first release the pressure, there is no baking function and you cannot fry something (fish or cutlets). Yes, a minimum of odors, since everything is hermetically sealed and cooked under pressure, but the dishes turn out to be steamed and too wet, since there is practically zero evaporation, I don't like that. Therefore, I cook only certain dishes in it.
I have experience of cooking in a multicooker and I can say that the dishes in it are tastier than in a pressure cooker, so I want to buy a multicooker for myself. But here I can't find anything appropriate, I was already inclined towards the option of purchasing the European version, but I don't know how it will work through the adapter. In addition, shipping from America to Canada, plus tax, is expensive. I didn't even think about purchasing a rice cooker, and if you say that you can cook in rice cookers as well as in cartoons, then I would like to know more about this. Please help, who knows what, and does anyone have any experience of using a converter from 220 to 110, does the unit work normally?
Pakat
dannolik, read the whole topic from the beginning, so much has been written about it that I don't want to repeat it ...

Well, I actually asked specifically, after reading the whole topic, by the way, to the end, maybe the topic is not displayed first, ok, then in order:
1) in what mode can you cook soups and fry fish and cutlets on Panasonic if you do not use the slow cooker mode?
2) is it possible to adjust the temperature and cooking time on different modes (and which ones)?
3) can the auto-heating mode be disabled in advance?
4) the volume of the bowl is 10 cups of raw rice, how much will it be exactly in liters if someone measured it?
5) is there a sound signal indicating the end of the regime?
6) where in general can I read information about temperature conditions?
7) is it possible to buy this Panasonic somewhere in a store or only on the Internet?
a question to anyone who has already used a converter from 220 to 110, does the technique work normally?

I would be very grateful if you answer on the merits.

Hello! I have a question for the owners of Panasonic SR-MS183. Does anyone know where you can get a replacement bowl? I looked at Panasonic's website, but did not find it. There is a scratch on mine, not very deep, but it annoys me. Or maybe I'm worried in vain?
tinaff
I would take a steam bath.
Usually, the instructions write that if the non-stick surface is violated during heating, substances harmful to health are released.
Well, you yourself seem to have heard / know it.

Panasonic North America recommends ( 🔗) apply for spare parts on the website 🔗... There you can make an order directly on the website or by calling the specified phone number 1-800 ...
I once ordered a bucket from them for my cotton, the order was quickly completed.

Girls, tell me, please, how to choose a multicooker in Canada or America, like Cuckoo1055.
I did not find such information on the forum.
Or, maybe, tell me which modes in American multicooker correspond to ours, otherwise there are different types of rice in the mode.
I would be grateful for your help
