I will also try to iron some thinner this week
Yes, yes, yes, I just wanted to ask you about it myself. Because flannel and thick fabric in general is one thing, but the thin cotton of classic shirts is completely different.
And also, Olk, druh, well, it can't be that you don't have some linen with embroidery. For me, this is literally crucial. If the embroidery can be ironed with a press, I'll buy it, period.
Rada-dms
I'll try, just not Sedna, okay! Need to go !!
Admin
Quote: Rada-dms

Admin, and by the way, I really liked your system with a roller !!! It would be a place, I would definitely buy it !!

So, I put my eyes on her, I seriously thought right now after repairing the pantry, I will highlight a special place
I had one for a long time, with a roller, sorry soviet - I got on very well with her, and ironed practically everything with a roller, blanket covers and dressing gowns, and so on that came to hand. Therefore, I have an idea about the roller

If the embroidery can be ironed with a press
Linen, if after washing, folds form around the embroidery, as if screeds, then it will not be possible to smooth it out with a press. The press will make many small folds around. But with the nose of the iron, you can walk around the embroidery more accurately, making a stretch with your hand.
Rita
Admin, I heard that the Soviet were cool, but modern foreign ones are not at all that.

Admin, I heard that the Soviet were cool, but modern foreign ones are not at all that.

Well, I wouldn't say cool. Then there was nothing else and there was nothing to compare with.Very heavy, overwhelming, you are tortured to carry, kept it on the window on the loggia, and stroked it there
But, stroked with rollers well

Linen, if after washing wrinkles form around the embroidery, as if ties
This is what worries me the most. I wanted to hang an experiment on ironing embroidery on Olka, but she is silent, like a partisan. And I have such a chic jacquard linen with embroidery, and there are a lot of embroideries, and so it is lying around, I don’t lay down. I used it twice and threw nafik, I didn’t iron it. I was hoping for a press ...
Rada-dms
Elena Tim, Flax, if there is a lot of embroidery, it won't smooth it, I think. If the fragments are separate, you can try to spread them closer to the edge and, slightly tightening, press the press.
Tanyusha
Rada-dmsHow are your impressions of the press? Again I turned my gaze on him, because I want to buy my mom to iron the bed linen.
Rada-dms
Tanyusha, stroking slowly! I like ironing linen, towels, men's. But I iron all this in two or three layers. I iron the bed, too, quickly. I miss a little steam for the bedding after my ironing system. The linen also smells ironed and fresh.
My husband got used to ironing shirts in the morning before work, he is very happy - 3-4 minutes, and everything is ready. He doesn't make a seam on the sleeve, just doesn't press it with a press. Doesn't ask me anymore. The hand does not get tired, heats up quickly, is beautiful.
With steam it is, of course, more interesting, but the care is different, and consumables.
Tanyusha
Olya, thanks for the answer.

MIE Romeo 4 ironing press

Ironing press

Ironing press

Ironing press

Ironing platform: 67 x 27 cm
Ironing press power: 2200 W
Generated pressure: 45 kg
Steam supply: Yes
Country of origin: Italy

The water tank in the MIE ROMEO IV press is quite capacious - 0.8 l, it is located under the support surface of the press and can be easily pulled out for adding water. Thus, it is possible to replenish the reservoir with water during operation, without turning off the press. MIE ROMEO IV has a built-in microcontroller for temperature, which protects products from unwanted overheating. After closing the press, a beep sounds after a while, this means that smoothing is finished and the press can be opened. If the included press does not open for more than 10 seconds, the heating will automatically stop. Heating resumes when the press is opened. - The AUTO POWER OFF function cuts off the power to the press if the press is left open and not used for 15 minutes

I ordered ... after a long throwing between the models, and figuring out how they differ from each other, and the range of prices for the same models
I'm waiting for delivery on the 11th ...

In the meantime, watching a movie

To help us figure out "what is what" in ironing presses, see the overview table below - General information about ironing presses: 🔗
Elena Tim
Oh, thu-thu-thu, I won’t congratulate in advance, I won’t jinx it ... But I’m out, Tan! ... Cool press!
Why did you decide to take without a couple? So as not to be fooled with accessories?
Admin
Why no steam? With steam! And an 800 ml tank. And the power is 2200! And manufacturer Italy.
It's just that my temperature switch is manual, like on an iron. Due to this, the price is much lower. And with an electronic switch and a board more than 82 cm (my 67 cm), the cost will be almost 40 thousand. And mine is only 25 thousand. Do you feel the difference?
I thought that the manual temperature switch is not important, the main thing is to have it.
Look in the second photo, the tank is clearly visible there - it's black on the left, under the board
Elena Tim
Oh, I'm sorry! For some reason, I associated the tank with a spray bottle, chuchundra!
No, well, tada he is twice as cool as I thought!
Admin
Linen, above I gave a link to General information about ironing presses, it turned out to be a very useful table, it helped me decide on the press. Otherwise they were all on the same face for me, I just can't understand the differences in them
I also looked at the comments of the press sales manager on YouTube, recommends Domena (France) with a power of 2200 W. and MIE (Italy) with a power of 2200 W. in the price category up to 50 thousand rubles.

I was thinking who needed it so expensive, but as soon as I placed an order for ozone, this model of the ironing press disappeared from sale - no
In, business!
severyanka76
Admin, Tatyana, somewhere above you told that earlier, once, you had an ironing machine. These machines are now represented on our Miele market. The essence of the process is that the linen is passed through the ironing rollers. So the aforementioned company is very expensive, but very tempting in quality. And then suddenly, on Avito in Yaroslavl, I saw that good people were selling a Daisy ironing machine (still from Soviet times) in excellent condition for only 2 thousand rubles. I went, saw that the condition was excellent, and since by today's standards the cost is generally amazing, I took it. Why did you take it? To appreciate the convenience and usefulness. I liked very much that you can sit and iron your linen, there was a book attached, which shows how to iron shirts, trousers and a pleated skirt. Now you can want an expensive and modern car
Admin

These machines are now represented on our Miele market.

Now you can find much cheaper Miele, I don't want to pay so much money for a press
You can look at the models on YouTube or in the internet to find and select for yourself, there are also our Russian ones, if it's a roller press.

And so, a very necessary thing in the house, it makes ironing much easier. I had a roller for a very long time, if I remember it was called Kalinka (something like that), and it worked regularly for many years.

Congratulations on your purchase
Elena Tim
Tanya, so I didn't understand that they won't bring you, perhaps, your press on the eleventh, since they are over? Or did you snatch the last one in Ozone?
Olekma
Oh, my mother-in-law has such an ironing press :) She hates ironing and with 4 children she just dreamed of an ironing press. For the third year now, she has fulfilled her dream. Now he strokes with pleasure. Nearly

I was very interested in the ironing press. I read, read and want more and more.

Lena, this is called "jumped into the last carriage" I ordered it with delivery, and immediately the "out of stock" window appeared. It is not the first such case in ozone under the name "you were lucky".

Waiting for delivery ...
Elena Tim
Cool! Well, sho, then I also sat down to wait ... for your delivery.

Everyone at home has an iron, but not many know that an iron press, steam generator or steamer can be a nice addition to the iron. It makes no sense to explain to the happy owners of steam ironing equipment how useful all this equipment is in everyday life, and for those who have not yet purchased an ironing press, steam generator or steamer, we will try to reveal all their advantages in the article below.

This article is dedicated to the ironing press, we will open for you all its possibilities, focusing your attention on the variety of operations performed by this technique.
To many, the ironing press seems like an unnecessary clutter of the home interior, just like, for example, a food processor, but with sufficient knowledge of its functions and purposes, you can work wonders.
Here is a list of the functions of the ironing press:

Dry ironing: for synthetics, nylon, perlon, etc., at a low temperature (if necessary with a dry interlining cloth).

Steam ironing: for cotton, linen, bleached fabrics (towels, sheets, shirts, blouses, etc.) Use a humidifier for more efficient use of steam.

With interlining: for knits and woolen, jersey, etc.
When ironing monograms and embroideries, place them right-side up on the ironing platform to create relief.

When ironing, the correct position of the laundry on the platform is very important.
Carefully place the laundry on the platform, smoothing it with your hands, but do not forget about the heated surface of the ironing press, it can burn your hands.
If your garment is bulky, first place it behind the ironing platform and push the garment towards you as you iron it. If the width of the garment exceeds the width of the ironing platform, it is recommended to iron "towards yourself" in two steps, first the left side, and then the right side, or vice versa, as you prefer.

When ironing, slowly lower the heating platform onto the product, holding it on the fabric for a few seconds as instructed, and also slowly raise the platform.
The pressure, that is, the ratio of effort per square centimeter, can be different in household presses. This value fluctuates between 25-35 g / cm2, which is approximately equal to a total pressure of 35-45 kg.

Below is a list of products that can be ironed quickly and easily using an ironing press:
Sheets and duvet covers:
Fold the garment 4 times and place it behind the ironing platform.
Iron by pushing the product towards you from the back of the press.
Always use this trick with big items.

Towels:
Fold the towel in half, edge to edge, center the ironing platform, then iron.
Napkins and handkerchiefs:
Place a tissue or handkerchief on the ironing platform and iron.
You can place 2 or 3 of them on an ironing board and iron them all in one go.
Men's shirt:
Iron the cuffs of the shirt using the pad provided.
To position the shirt correctly on the ironing platform, place it on the back left with the collar facing you.
Place the arm sleeve along the beveled edge of the ironing platform.
Iron the second sleeve as well.
Place the ironed sleeves on the right back of the ironing platform.Place the shoulder and collar seam at the edge of the platform.
Move the shirt towards you. Iron the part of the shirt below the sleeve.
Continue ironing further, moving the shirt towards you, until you reach the front turn.
When ironing the front fold, hold the ends of the collar with your fingers so that the edge of the fold is against the ironing board.
Collar. Moisten the collar and slightly lower the heating platform. Stretch the collar well by hand, then iron it right side up.
Shoulder. The shoulder is ironed with the included pad. Leave the lace or ruffles hanging. Use only mini pressure.
Pants:
Use an overlay fabric for woolen and any dark fabrics.
Place the waist of your pants on the supplied pillow.
Strike off the waistband and folds by rolling the pants around the pillow.
Front pleats at the bottom of the trousers. Both legs are folded together. Let the hem or cuff of the pants hang over the edge of the platform, in this case there will be no mark on the fabric. Press lightly on the scar, then iron the rest.
Front pleats at the top of the trousers. Are ironed sequentially.
The back folds are steamed in the same way.
Using the beveled part of the ironing platform, you can easily iron the inside of your trousers.
Jeans:
Iron the waistband, top, and pockets as you would on trousers.
Next, the trousers are ironed on the ironing platform. The resulting creases from the sides are easily removed with the help of a foam cushion.

Pleated skirt:
Place the bottom of the skirt on the ironing platform, pinning the pleats. Give a little pressure. Remove the pins and press normally.
When using pins, it is recommended to cover the product with a cotton cloth to avoid damaging the heating platform.

Knitwear:
Rotate the belt around the ironing platform, stretching the fabric to avoid unwanted creases.

T-shirt:
Iron gradually on the ironing platform, starting from the sleeves.

T-shirts decorated with beads, sequins or iridescent embossing are ironed with decorations down towards the ironing platform to avoid being pressed into the heating platform.
Jackets, blazers, coats and raincoats:
Sleeves: To iron the sleeves, use the pillow by sliding it three times inside the sleeve.
Front and back: iron the front and back of the jacket similar to the shirt.
Lapel and collar. Place the sides diagonally on the ironing platform and iron in two steps. Give the sides and collar their original shape by folding them down until they cool (without smoothing out the folds).

Corduroy and Velvet:
The garments are usually ironed on the reverse side, using a slightly wetted overlay material.
Lower the central heating platform at mini pressure, without using automatic pressure to avoid crushing the material.

Thermal application:
Place the sample on the face of the material as shown in the diagram.
Secure it to the material.
Close the press completely. The sample will be transferred to the material. If necessary, leave the press closed until the beep.
Non-woven bonding:
Determine the ironing time following the instructions from the non-woven fabric manufacturer. Make sure the adhesive side is facing the material. Place a patch cloth over the sample to keep the heating platform clean.

Stickers:
Apply these labels following the manufacturer's recommendations. If the fixing time is more than 10 seconds, lift the right handle of the press as soon as you hear the warning beep so that the press does not automatically shut down and lower it again.

Ruffles, dresses.
Platform sleeves: Tuck the ruffles or folds neatly into the edge of the platform sleeves and iron them.
Based on materials from Elna.

MIE Romeo 4 ironing press

Ironing press

Everything about this press is written here, by the link above https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=22960.0

Today I will show you the quality of ironing.
The press is very easy to operate and operate. I read the instructions once, and then installed and prepared for ironing on my own, without instructions.
And nevertheless, now I will go competently, read the instructions, I need to put something in my brain

Go...

Terry towels - steam mode
Here the towel is laid out in one row

Ironing press

3 times folding

Ironing press Ironing press

Terry kitchen towels in 3 additions "with steam"

Ironing press

Kitchen tablecloth, very dry from lying down, adding 2 times. And the photo next to it - turned the tablecloth over to the other side, not ironing yet. You can see how the linen is ironed even from one side and takes the fabric in two folds.

Ironing press Ironing press

Pillowcase in 1 fold (two layers of fabric) and in 3 folds

Ironing press Ironing press

I'm happy with the ironing of the duvet cover to the very ears, not to the very top
4 fold (8 layers of fabric)

Ironing press Ironing press

And here I folded the duvet cover more times - this needs to be counted how many layers of fabric it turned out

Ironing press

Here is my stack of ironed linen today, how did I like this business

Ironing press

I stroked synthetics trousers and a sweater with ruffles synthetics for testing - it turns out well

The press can work in steam mode, without steam, and can be used simply as a platform for ironing things with a simple iron (there is a press position mode)

Good press for ironing, convenient!
Ironed directly on the packaging box, it is inside with foam and holds its shape well. After renovating the apartment, I'll think about what to put on the press. In principle, you can put it on the table in the kitchen.
It doesn't take up much space.
And what is very important, the press is assembled compactly, there is a latch-lock, when the handle is attached tightly to the press, and by the handle you can lift the press like a briefcase and transfer it to the ironing-storage place. The weight is also normal, you can safely transfer and lift.
And what is more important: the press can be stored in a closet lying down, depending on the storage location.

If funds and space permit, then you can safely buy a model with an ironing board area of 82 x 32 cm - you won't go wrong

Press attachments: 2 water cartridges, cushion for pleated sleeves, second board cover, instructions.

Ironing press

But, I ordered an additional one in the internet. sleeve board 52 x 12 - very useful for ironing sleeves and tight spaces.

Here ... it will be somehow so If I can, I will answer your questions
Marusya
Admin, Tatiana, thanks for the report. Everything is convincing. I am planning to buy a press 82x32 cm. Are you planning a press stand? And tell me where you can get a sleeve board? I haven't seen her on the website of the company store. How long did the ironing process take?
Admin
I can't say anything about the stand yet, how much I need it. After renovating the apartment, I'll think about when it will be clear where to put the press and where to use it. In the meantime, I'll stroke the box, it's strong
The sleeve board is not for this press, you may not find it on the site, although it is also made in Italy, made by a pro for another ironing board. You can make a request on the internet and buy it separately. The cost is small, 500-700 rubles in total.

How much time - did not notice. Each item takes its own time, and depends on how to iron in one layer or 2-3 layers.
In any case, less energy goes away, against ironing
verbitzckaya
Interesting thing. Tell me, how often do you use it? I want one, but I think it will gather dust in a friend?
Admin
I just bought a press, this is my first ironing.
I am sure - I will not have the press idle Why - see the quality of ironing Quickly and you will not have time to get tired, as if ironing on linen with an iron. And if, in addition, sweaters-pants-skirts-panties and the like can be ironed with high quality without any problems ...

It's so easy to use that I will use the press all the time, every time after washing or needing it
Marusya
I'm still thinking about the branded stand. You can always buy it. You can use the table first. Is it heavy to carry? Still, the weight is 12 kg.
Elena Tim
They say you can always look at fire, water and how others work.
So I would always watch others stroking. High!
Tan, now I CONGRATULATE, CONGRATULATE, CONGRATULATE!
Admin

Linen, Thank you!
I really enjoyed ironing the most excruciating housework
It's such a thrill, in a few minutes to iron a two-bedroom duvet cover, moreover, in 4 folds / 8 sheets of fabric

No, now I iron only with a press, and immediately after washing and drying, because quickly and without problems
And there were no folds left on the jacket, and all the ruffles were ironed out, and the buttons are intact
Marusya
Admin, the main thing is that I like it and the thing is very popular. Great helper! Congratulations!!!
Admin
Marina, Thank you!
Elena Tim
Quote: Admin
I really enjoyed ironing
Damn it ... Go, tunnels, try again to free the windowsill ...
How I want a pantry!
Admin
Quote: Elena Tim
Go, adit, again try to free the windowsill ...

Ha ha! And now my pantry is expanding I shook out all the goodness into a free room, I sit and wait - on the weekend I have to finish the expansion and increase in the number of shelves The storeroom is small, 2.5x1.5, but how convenient and, moreover, this is the coldest room in the apartment

Actually, I plan to put the press in size in the wardrobe in the bedroom, it will just stand upright well
Elena Tim
Wait, why did you say about the bedroom set ?!Ironing press
I've already mentally revised it and realized that I won't wear a lot of things, they are already morally outdated.
And if there is a good poryzza, then you can free up so much space that three such press will fit in there. No, seriously, there is such a huge closet, you can't convey it. It is just that there needs to be "state security monoprom".
In March I’ll do it, I don’t have time, I’m embroidering a gift for my dad, and it’ll take me a week to get a headset.

And then, that I went along this path - I dumped everything along with the hangers, and let me "this is for you, this is for me, this is for throwing away, I will add this" cloakroom and I lost weight thoroughly. But there was also room for the press, and you can go shopping to summer and people did good, made happy with things
Elena Tim
Marusya
I have had an ironing press for over a week now. Indeed, it is very convenient to use. On Monday I was sewing myself new trousers, the press was very useful for ironing the arrows on the trousers during the sewing process. I liked ironing knitwear.
Bed linen is quick and easy! I think that the experience will come during the operation. The family needs a thing!

Girls with abs, what are your impressions of the device after 3-4 years? Do you often use, were not disappointed in the purchase? More and more often I am thinking about buying.
lyubochka
Good evening! I have an ironing press (looked from 2012), did not regret that I bought it. I do not use it often, but it happens when there is a lot of ironing, especially bed linen, towels, tablecloths. I have an ordinary iron, iron it with a press better, but things like shirts are better for me to iron with an iron.
