k.alena, and is not it easier to grind everything on a large-scale in the fall on a combine, in packages and in a morlzilka? It's so convenient, I took out a bag, broke off as much as needed and removed it, nothing to clean, rub, dirt and garbage do not need to be diluted.
It seems to me that I devoted a couple of days to this work and is free all winter, everything is ready - use it.
And every day to rub one carrot ... For me, this is just breaking!
NatalyaB
k.alena, Blimey! The same!
Now I don't know which one I had. But there was. I liked it. Very elegant shavings and straws were obtained. And it's easy to assemble and disassemble. I didn't rub the raw beets, but the carrots, apples, cheese are great. Everything was cut perfectly into the vinaigrette. Maybe a bow. The stew is excellent. The cube on my Olivier was too big. A separate plus - cuts-rub right into any bowl. But, like all electric cutters, use laziness for one carrot and one potato.
I gave it to my brother because I bought a combine. My brother often has guests, salads in bowls. The unit has been operating there for 3 years.

It's not easier This is for mom, not for me. I have a separate harvester and freezer. And I ice something, but I freeze everything for the winter and my freezer will not be enough. Usually I freeze what is mine from the garden and must somehow be saved. The year before last there were a lot of carrots and zucchini - they were frozen and we are stocking up on fruit. By the end of summer, the freezer is full. And what is the mood for mom, she cooks for herself, and every day. And the age is already decent, it's hard to even cut with a knife.

Oh, these moods and age ...

even cutting with a knife is hard.
that is why it’s not easier for mom to get a bag of ready-made grated carrots?

What exactly? Onions, cabbage, potatoes, apples? In addition to the carrots themselves (they are still so and so good from the freezer for soup), everything from the freezer does not reach the taste of fresh, albeit off-season, store vegetables. Whoever is used to cooking unfrozen potatoes, zucchini and cabbage all his life will not take them out of the freezer badly. In addition, even carrots for different dishes need to be cut in different ways, the taste of the result depends on this. And the salads?
In general, I would not try to persuade an elderly mother to cook from freezing, because I understand her.

And I don’t persuade anyone and I don’t impose anything!
She said that it would be easier for an elderly mother, that's all.
She said this from her experience of freezing carrots, greens, tomatoes for first courses.
And frozen zucchini in winter for freshly prepared caviar and mashed soups ... it's just better not to come up with it!
It all depends on the menu that is familiar.
And by the way, there was no talk specifically about salads.

They say you can't grate raw beets.
It's good that I didn't know about it, yesterday I rubbed 5 beets on borscht preparation
k.alenaAlmost from the first days I have this, I like it, a lot of graters, relatively easy to clean.
Bullet, of course, is a beast, but it is more difficult to assemble and disassemble, And to wash, it is larger.

frozen zucchini
It's not the same for everybody. For me, neither frozen zucchini nor eggplants "pull", so why bother?

Elena, there are also cheaper electric cutters, drum, for the same Moulinex. There is a Philips processor with 3 graters and one for cutting into slices, not counting knives. I had it too, I loved him very much: I did the minced meat perfectly, and chopped dough, and rub something. Well, it doesn't come out so beautifully, I didn't make cubes, there are fewer possibilities, but for small volumes - quickly, easily, cheaply, conveniently.

Girls, we have a theme "I choose a small combine for rubbing" or something like a name. I can't find it now. Thanks to that theme I bought a small Philips 7605 combine and I have not been overjoyed for 1.5 years !!!
k.alena, look for that topic, it is very informative for an elderly person.

small harvester Philips 7605
That's it, I was talking about him. I have had them since 2002. The first one dropped, the axle cracked (but it served for 3 years!), The second had dull knives (but this is after 4 years of use!), The third one also plowed regularly for 5 years. A good thing.
Now there are spare parts for it, I would buy a couple of discs-tabs, because the most inconvenient thing in it was to insert graters into the disc.
But his price today is not the same 1.5-2 tons that I paid ..

I bought at OLH in excellent condition and for little money, then I bought 2 more discs, too, very inexpensively.

Many thanks to everyone for participating. Yesterday I already bought this Tefal multi-cutter. Let's see how it fits. The choice was made due to its compact size, easy assembly and disassembly and ease of maintenance. And all accessories are stored very conveniently. And dicing is a thing. For this I love my Bosch harvester dearly, for me this is the most demanded option.

I have already explained above - you cannot freeze all vegetables, mom has a small refrigerator with a small freezer. And while she is able to cook for herself daily.
Lerele
k.alena, it is also good that the grater is not in a circle, but as we three hands, here and there.
I think mom will be happy. Happy shopping !!

Hello! Advise a good multi-cutter, or what they call a vegetable cutter. Price quality, so that it is not stingy pays twice)))) a large family, six children and dad and mom). What do you advise?)))
OgneLo
Roza79, depends on the volume of the "single portion" shredded and the regularity of using the device.
For me, Multi-Cut is convenient 🔗
