Wheat Kutia

Ingredients

Wheat for kutya 1 multicooker glass (160 ml)
Salt 2/3 tsp
Poppy 0.5 multicooker glasses (80 ml)
Roasted or roasted nuts generous handful
Water 700 - 500 ml
Honey taste
Raisins, dried fruits taste

Cooking method

  • Put the wheat in a slow cooker, add salt and water. If you like kutya thicker, then you need 500 ml of water, and if you like with liquid, then 700 ml. In the photo with 700 ml of water.
  • At the same time pour the poppy seeds with water. Water needs 2 times more than poppy.
  • Cook for 1.5 hours on High, then switch to heating until morning. If you don't like boiled cereals, then 2-3 hours on the "High" mode is enough.
  • In the morning, boil the poppy seeds in the microwave (at maximum power) for 3-4 minutes. Then put in a saucepan and grind with an immersion blender until white milk appears. Add honey, baked peeled nuts, and beat a little more with a blender.
  • Now mix everything with cooked wheat. Put the raisins after the kutya has cooled. I don't put it in at all.

The dish is designed for

Several servings

Time for preparing:

Night

Cooking program:

"High" mode and "Heat"

National cuisine

Note

Kutya in a slow cooker turns out to be very soft, tender, tasty.

You can simply chop the nuts, and then the wheat will not be in such a nutty liquid. And so and so delicious.

Bon Appetit !

Lana, you are welcome !

Yes, our wonderful saucepans help us so much! No need to stand at the stove and stir. The main thing is to choose convenient cooking modes.

This is a huge "plus" of our wonderful saucepans, as you just noticed!
Already preparing your creamy porridge!

Fantasy! What kind of wheat? In the store or at the attendants in the market? I used to go out and eat only at a party, but I ate at church ...
Antonovka
During my childhood, whole wheat groats were sold - it was very tasty, but now only crushed wheat groats are sold, so sorry

Antonovka Antoshenka, I saw here ... Buy those on occasion?
This year I did it with pearl barley, which is also delicious

We always bought ordinary wheat, which was filled with water and it swelled. And last year at the bazaar, a woman was selling peeled ones. It does not need to be soaked in advance, but cook immediately. Very tasty.

We also sell wheat, especially for kutia. Not always and not everywhere, of course, but if you know what you are looking for, then sometimes you can buy. I take it in the market, although I saw it in the store a couple of times, prepackaged.

We need to joke. In supermarkets, we certainly do not have such goods. It is necessary to look in simple stores or in the market.

Qween, today the last one is Hungry Kutya on the eve of Vodokhreshche, therefore the question about poppy seeds:

To grind poppy seeds with a submersible blender with or without sugar? Because in makitra they grind together with sugar and only then does white milk appear
And add water from soaking the poppy to the blender, because he doesn't want to grind dry, should there be at least a little moisture?
Misha
Poppy in makitra grind at first without sugar until whitish milk appears, and sugar is added to the grated and rubbed with sugar.

rusja, first you need to soak the poppy overnight. It is already getting soft. Then boil it in the microwave (you can also on a regular stove). Then you have to sausage with a blender, and it seems that nothing is being done to the poppy - as it was, it is. But, if you continue the process, then literally in seconds it gives off milk. Then add sugar as needed. And if you don't want to, then it's not necessary. I add some sugar and baked nuts.

When I start to grind the poppy with a hand blender, it is without liquid deprivation, but just looks like a wet, swollen poppy. It seems that the appearance of milk is impossible. And literally in a couple of minutes it appears, and what a!

It happens that there is no time at all for soaking and grinding the poppy. Then I stupidly grind dry poppy seeds in a coffee grinder, pour boiling water and cook in the microwave. The poppy seeds seem to explode and become soft and milk even comes out. But, I do this not for kutya, but for all sorts of rolls and other things. There is always plenty of time for kutya.

Thank you
We will try to milk poppy milk
On the contrary, my wheat-kutya was soaked overnight, and the poppy was just a couple of hours ago
Irene
Girls! I bought wheat grits! It means that I will have kutia soon!
