Almond Tile Cookies

Ingredients

butter 150 g
powdered sugar 150 g
ground almonds (almond flour) 150 g
eggs 2 pcs
corn starch 2 h l
almond essence (optional) 3-4 drops
almond shavings for sprinkling

Cooking method

  • 1. Beat softened butter, icing sugar and eggs until creamy.
  • 2. Gradually introduce almond flour mixed with starch. If you use almonds, then peel them first.
  • 3. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper over a dessert or a teaspoon of dough (depending on the desired cookie size) at a distance of at least 3 cm from each other. The dough will spread in the oven, forming a thin "pancake".
  • Bake at 180 g until golden brown around the edges.
  • 4. Transfer ready-made hot "pancakes-flat cakes" several pieces to a rolling pin (one at a time along the entire surface of the rolling pin) and press down, shaping the tiles. It is advisable to do this quickly.

Note

The biscuits turn out to be crispy and tender, with an incomparable taste. Store in a closed glass container (if it draws in moisture, it will lose some of its taste). Can be stored for a week. But we have not been stuck for more than a couple of hours. Try it, highly recommend.
