Beef heart with barley in tomato sauce (Multicooker Panasonic SR-TMH 18 LTW)

Ingredients

Beef heart 500 g
Tomatoes 2 pcs.
Bell pepper 1 PC.
Bay leaf 2 pcs.
Tomato juice 150 ml
Garam masala 1/3 tsp
Coriander (seeds) 1/3 tsp
Black pepper taste
Bulb onions 1 PC.
Pearl barley 2 cartoon Art.
Vegetable oil 5 tbsp. l.
Salt, sugar taste

Cooking method

  • Finely chop the onion and fry in oil until transparent. Cut the bell pepper and tomato into slices and add to the onion (there are no fresh ones anymore, ice cream is used). Cook on the "Bake" mode for 10 minutes.
  • Cut the heart (pre-cooked) into pieces, add to the vegetables. Season with salt, add black pepper, coriander, garam masala and mix well. Cook in Bake mode for another 10 minutes.
  • Pour tomato juice and water over the meat. The liquid should cover the meat by about 4 cm. Add the bay leaf and cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Then add the pearl barley to the meat (pre-soaked for 2 hours) and continue cooking on the "Stew" mode for 1 hour. If there is little liquid, add water as needed. After the end of the program, I left it on heating for 30 minutes.
