Ingredients

Wheat flour0.5KG
Salt0.5 tsp
Pack of butter / margarine
(well frozen)
250 g
Kefir0.5 cups
(125 ml)
Sour cream0.5 cups
(125 ml)

Cooking method

  • Take well-frozen margarine or butter and grate. Sprinkle the grater with flour periodically, it is better, then the oil does not stick together. Mix the grated butter with flour, mix kefir and sour cream, add salt and pour into the mixed flour and butter. Quickly roll the dough into a ball. Cover with foil (I cover with foil from a pack of butter / margarine) and refrigerate for 1-1.5 hours to rest. then we take it out, roll it out and make pies or pies.

I wonder if you can make puff pastry in a bread maker?

Of course, I'm not a specialist in puff pastry, but it seems to me that it can hardly be cooked in HP. After all, the flakiness of the dough is dressed up due to layers of butter and the dough itself, or, as in a lazy version, due to cold butter. And in HP, as far as I know, the dough is kneaded with heating IMHO.
