Banana Mikado cake

Ingredients

Sponge cake:
Wheat flour 100 g
Sugar 100 g
Eggs 3 pcs.
Bananas 5 pieces.
Wine
(I took 50 ml of sweet red wine)
100 ml
Apple juice
(I took 100 ml of juice)
150 ml
Sugar 125 g
Gelatin 8 g
Cream 525 ml
bitter chocolate 100 g

Cooking method

  • 1. We bake a biscuit.
  • 2. Place the sponge cake in the cake ring.
  • 3. Peel bananas, cut in half and into thin slices, spread on a biscuit

  • 4. Prepare a filling of wine, juice and 75 gr. sugar and pour it over the bananas.
  • 5. Soak gelatin in a little water.
  • 6.400 ml. Whip cream with 50g. sugar + dissolved gelatin.

  • 7. Spread the mass on the cake.

  • 8. Melt chocolate with 125 ml. Put the cream on top of the cream.
  • 9. Put in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
  • If you are confused by the large amount of liquid (juice + wine) for soaking bananas and biscuits, you can reduce it. I specially looked at the cake in a cut, only the upper part of the biscuit was wet, the liquid did not reach the bottom :)

So I got to this cake. Get Natalie out, but with my changes. ... Cake eaters don't like bananas. So I had to change. instead of banana cherry, cream cream + cherry syrup. White frosting on top, as waffle pictures look terrible on dark. Like this

The filling for this cake is prepared with the addition of 1 packet of cake jelly (called Tortenguss). It should not be absorbed into the cake !!!

Firstly, this recipe is in the magazine "Lisa" (and even in the photo you can see that there is jelly; on top it is decorated with whipped cream and "straw" cookies, glazed with the same icing as the cake). Secondly, on another site there is the same recipe with step-by-step cooking, and there is also jelly there, or rather Tortenguss - a special jelly for a cake. And where did you get the information about filling-impregnation?

You, of course, have the right to do as you please. Everyone has different tastes.I just told you how this recipe looks like in the original. That way, people will have a choice, since not everyone loves a soaked cake ...
