Tomato sauce Italian style

Ingredients

Peeled tomatoes 5 Kg
Sugar 350 g
Salt 100 g
Finely chopped onion 200 g
Garlic 4 teeth
Ground allspice and black pepper 1.5 g each
Carnation 3 g
Cinnamon 1 g

Cooking method

  • Add basil if desired. After the end of cooking add 30 gr. vinegar.
  • small red tomatoes blanch for 2 minutes. in boiling water, cool cold. Then peel off and cut into 4 pieces. Put tomatoes in a saucepan and (tie the spices in a gauze bag) everything else according to the recipe except vinegar. Boil for 1.5 hours on low heat. At the end of cooking, take out the bag of spices and add vinegar. We pour into cans and sterilize cans of 0.5 l -25 min.
